CS Amina Mohamed Admitted to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
Sports, Culture and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed has become an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Amina was among the 198 advocates admitted to the bar during a ceremony presided over by Chief Justice David Maraga at the Supreme Court in Nairobi on Friday.
The admission paves the way for Amb. Amina to officially practice law in Kenya. Amb. Amina is an alumnus of the University of Kyiv in Ukraine where she graduated with a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law.
She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Oxford.
She previously served as the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Foreign Affairs Ministries as well as Secretary of the Ministry of Justice.
In addition, Amina has worked as the Chairperson of the WTO General Council, Ambassador and Permanent Representative for the Kenya diplomatic mission in Geneva, Legal Adviser in Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Legal Adviser to the Kenyan delegation at the UN Security Council.
