A section of Kenya African National Union (KANU) leaders hailing from West Pokot County have warned President Uhuru Kenyatta that he risks losing West Pokot votes, if he continues ignoring small parties that back his re-election bid.
Led by West Pokot county Senator John Lonyangapuo, the leaders accused some Jubilee leaders of plotting to divide President Kenyatta’s votes by focusing on the 2022 succession politics.
The leaders singled out Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi, accusing them of planning to siphon 2017 Jubilee campaign funds, to drum up support for Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
Speaking at Pokot County on Saturday, the leaders further accused the DP William Ruto of disrespecting a section of Rift Valley leaders.
This comes just days after KANU leaders led by Chairman Gideon Moi said they will be seeking a meeting with the head of state to ask him tame his Deputy, after accusing him of disrespecting KANU leaders.
KANU threatened to withdraw their support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and support the opposition if Ruto continued with the behavior.

They don't want to be USED.
I find Kanu guys very dishonest, how do they expect Jubilee not to have candidate in the areas where Kanu has candidates. They want free ride in the name of supporting Uhuru. This is unfair.
