A Cholera outbreak has been reported at Weston Hotel in Nairobi, a hotel connected to Deputy President William Ruto. Some guests, including doctors who were attending a science conference at the prestigious facility have tested positive for the disease.

Dr George Nyale, the chairman of the conference broke the news of the outbreak but said there was no cause for alarm, adding that there are contingency measures on the ground including tests being conducted at the facility and ambulances on standby to take people to the hospital.

A source who spoke to the Daily Nation said that a total of 47 guests who were attending the conference had tested positive for the water borne disease.

The forum under the theme“The Kenya International Scientific Lung Health Conference” had been organized by the Ministry of Health, and commenced on Tuesday and was expected to close on Friday.

my understanding is that cholera is found in water contaminated with feces. This may be outside the hotel. For example eating badly cooked fish/raw(no shushi)that got the bacteria from ariver,or alake conterminated with human feces.Either way, the hotel is responsible for safe food. They should come clean, and engage in some good PR.

Kenya have recently witnessed a wave of terrorism. The last time Kenyans experienced acute terror activities was towards the genaral election as it is now. Why I am bringing this is because there seems to be a coordinated patern and means. An agitator is somewhat on the loose while innocent Kenyans are dying. Similarly, and of all the places including the food stuffs at giamaiko or the other open food places in the east lands ,Kibra and the deplorable likes, what are probabilities of Weston hotel getting to be the only cholera infested place? Again there has to be a knowledgeable persons who are behind this.

Quote, "Dr George Nyale, the chairman of the conference broke the news of the outbreak but said there was no cause for alarm"! What? 47 people so far have already contracted the physically draining contagious disease hence it's alarming and there is need for concern.

Corruption will never end, so Rutoh grabbed the school's land, built a prestigious hotel and influenced government lead ministries e.g the said Ministry of Health to give him business??? I rest my case.
