US Ambassador Robert Godec Calls for Peaceful Elections in Kenya

US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec has called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure that it conducts free, fair and credible elections.

Speaking when he joined a peace procession at Kibera area in Nairobi organized by Shining Hope for Communities, a Non-Governmental Organization which lobbies for peaceful election, Godec said that a credible election will ensure peace in Kenya.

“It is very important that these elections be free, fair, credible and peaceful it’s good to see the people here in Kibera joined by other people in the country to commit themselves to peaceful elections,” said Godec.

Kennedy Odede,  founder of Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO), called on residents and Kenyans to maintain calm and peace during the election, saying that Kenya will remain even after voting.

“This is the message that Kibera is speaking we are peaceful and we want peaceful elections and we believe that the elections will be credible so all these people here have come to show the world that we are one and we are not going to be divided by politicians,’ Odede said.

“I want to tell our people that election will come and go we want to remain one family as we have always coexisted,” Odede added.

While Raila Odinga is a Pacifier; Uhuru Kenyatta is an Inflamator (of Tribal and Mungiki Violence and Murder Sprees of Innocent Kenyans).

The 44 million peace loving people of Kenya should not allow two power hungry maniacs (Raila and Uhuru) to cause any disturbances through their foul language when they address the public.

We should demand that they address the people of Kenya in Kiswahili anytime that they hold public meetings. Any Kenyan attending their public meetings should hold a placard demanding that they use appropriate language.
As the former freedom fighter in South Africa Ndugu Tutu once said, " Human beings have an extraordinary capacity for evil: but they have an incredible capacity for good."

Uhuru and Raila, our National Anthem clearly says:

"...Natukae na udugu amani na uhuru, raha tupate na ustawi."

In conclusion, I would like to reiterate the importance of addressing the public in our national language. That way, you can be held accountable by the words we all understand said in Kiswahili. Use your indigenous language at home with your friends, relatives, and family membera when you are eating "kuon" or "githeri."

Why didn't you demand that muuaji Raila, jambazi Goldenburg Mudavadi and jambazi Ruto(who was in ODM pentagon then)address their last campaign rally/incitement rally at NYAYO on 24th,Nov,2007?All of them spoke in their mother tounge.

Please do not tamper with our national anthem. The word Kenyatta (Kamau) does not appear anywhere in the song. The word "Uhuru" is derived from the Arabic word "hurr" which means freedom. Since Uhuru is not a Gikuyu word, he should change his name to "wiyathi Kamau." The word "Kenyatta" is derived from the Masai language and it means "beaded belt."
