NASA Now Unveils "Adopt-a Bus-Station" Strategy

National Super Alliance has been forced to ‘abandon’ the “adopt a polling station” initiative and instead introduced "Adopt a Bus Station" after learning that there was massive take-off of potential voters from Nairobi County to their rural homes in Western Kenya.

The opposition coalition has launched “Adopt-A-Bus Station”, which is aimed at preventing their supporters from leaving for their rural homes for fear of post-election violence during the August 8th General Election.

In the past few days, several cases of Kenyans booking Western and Nyanza bound buses from the city at the Machakos country bus terminus have been reported, raising worries within NASA ranks ahead of a crucial election next week.

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Machakos County Senator Johnson Muthama moved in to assured their supporters that there will be no violence in the city, and urged them to remain and take part in elections to ensure that NASA takes power.

“We do not want you to go back home,” Kidero said when he met the Luhya community at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.

“Let us adopt bus stations and stop people from departing for their rural homes.

“There will be no violence as the elections will be peaceful and so there is no need for people to go home,” the Governor said.

Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama cautioned supporters leaving the city, telling them that not voting would hand Jubilee Party another five years to misrule the country.

“Let us ensure that we send this government home on August 8. But this will only happen if we all remain to vote en masse on the election day,” Muthama said.

Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke added: “Things must change.”

NASA should also abandon "ADOPT a BUS Station" idea because this is a nonsensical policy.Instead they should introduce and embrace the "Adopt election Defeat come 8/8/17" initiative. They should instruct their supporters to accept defeat gracefully, that life still continues after losing the election, and they should conduct themselves in a peaceful manner after the election defeat.
