State House Operative Denies Trump-Connected Firm is Working for President Uhuru

State House Director of Digital and Diaspora Communication Dennis Itumbi has denied that Cambridge Analytica, a Public Relations firm in the United States that is credited for running successful presidential campaigns including that of now US President, Donald J. Trump is working for President Uhuru ahead of repeat presidential election on October 17th.

In a tweet on Thursday, Kenyan US-based scholar Makau Mutua suggested that the data firm has been re-hired by President Uhuru's team for campaigns of the forthcoming poll.

"Is Cambridge Analytica, a DIRTY TRICKS big data LEVIATHAN, again working for Kenyatta in the fresh election? Kenyans MUST be VERY AFRAID," Makau posted Twitter.

Prof. Mutua alleged that the ‘fake news’ generating firm was once again working for Uhuru in the fresh elections, a claim Sate House Director of Communications, Dennis Itumbi moved quickly to deny.

"Cambridge Analytica has never worked for @UKenyatta , relax...," Itumbi tweeted.

However, NTV presenter Larry Madowo replied to Itumbi, informing him of a message on the firm's official website, which point out that it indeed worked for President Uhuru in 2013 general elections.

"Cambridge Analytica is proudly showing off what it did for President Kenyatta in 2013 ca-political.com/casestudies/ca…," Madowo said.

"Cambridge Analytica is proudly showing off what it did for President Kenyatta in 2013 ca-political.com/casestudies/ca…,"

On their website, CA gives a detailed analysis of their ‘Nationwide Political Research Program and Campaign Support in Kenya.'

”Ahead of the 2013 Kenyan presidential election, CA designed and implemented the largest political research project ever conducted in East Africa. Sampling and interviewing 47,000 respondents, CA was able to draft an effective campaign strategy based on the electorate’s real needs (jobs) and fears (tribal violence).”

Going back on his word, Itumbi said:
"But if their claim is that they worked for TNA - I know little about the party, that is for Senator
@SakajaJohnson."

What is the big deal if Cambridge Analytica working for Uhuru? At least Jubilee has the funds to pay Cambridge. Jubilee is not asking Kenyans to go for car washes to raise funds like NASA is doing (standardmedia.co.ke)
