Shebesh Hits Out at former IEBC Commissioner Roselyn Akombe over Her Exit

Former Nairobi Women Representative Rachael Shebesh has hit out at IEBC Commissioner Roselyn Akombe, who resigned from the commission on Wednesday.

Shebesh said that Akombe should come out and tell the truth on who she was working for at IEBC, before she flew to the US to announce her exit. “She [Akombe] should stop being hypocritical and tell us if she was working for NASA or some outside forces,” Shebesh said.

Shebesh said that she had advised Akombe to resign from the commission early enough to allow for the appointment of another commissioner.

Shebesh said Akombe, in a conversation she had with her after nullification of August 8th election, revealed her lack of faith in IEBC. “I told her if she doesn’t trust the system she should resign and pave way for appointment of another commissioner on time,” Shebesh said.

The politician said that next week’s repeat election will continue despite Akombe’s resignation, a sentiment that was echoed by Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa. “With or without Akombe we are going to the ballot on October 26,” he said.

Shebesh was speaking during a campaign to drum support for President Uhuru reelection in Bungoma County.

In her resignation letter, Akombe said she felt the October 26th repeat presidential election “absolutely” cannot be credible as they’re being organized by a very “divided commission”.

The laws sponsored by Jubilee anticipated, such like sabotage. This person should be investigated on colluding, in contempt of court, to derail election plans. Ultimately she failed as a professional and as a Citizen. She also has failed those in the diaspora, by presenting them as suspect in patriotism. Shame on Her.

Meaning she was not lying when she said there was outside inteferences, and if She as a commissioner told her said she had no faith in the IEBC , shouldn't that have been reason enough for all parties to worry about the IEBC ? Especially Jubilee whose Win was snatched away by the nullification . Kenyans let's stand for truth and justice .

Hopefully, after uhuru prays on Sunday, he will tell us the following day the people responsible for the deaths of Chris Msando and Jacob Juma. If not, he must fire two of his two useless incompetent employees: Muhoro Ndegwa (CID) and Boinnett (Inspector of police).

Boinnet must be arrested and charged in the court of law for ordering the killing of the 33 people in Kisumu.

We the people (Kenyans) are so sick and tired of incompetent people posing as leaders and doing nothing to guarantee the safety of the average and common citizen of Kenya and yet getting a hefty salary paid by the poor people of Kenya.

Long live the beautiful Republic of Kenya without Ndegwa and Boinnett pretending to be working for us!

There is political interference with work of IEBC. The violence against IEBC officials during the training period is a good example. It's hypocritical to higher goons to violently stop IEBC activities, and at the same time expect peace.

Dr. Akombe’s action reminds of an important lesson in life, which is “Fight for what’s right, what you believe in, what’s important to you”. By fleeing from Kenya to the US, it’s a clear demonstration by her that what we are fighting for is not worth it. #DumbDonkeyDecisions
