NASA MPs to Execute Raila's Plan to Derail President Uhuru's Government

National Super Alliance (NASA) has maintained that it will not be submitting its list of members to form the Committee of Appointment of the National Assembly.

The committee is headed by National Assembly Speaker and its mandate is to vet Cabinet nominees appointed by the President.

The newly appointed Leader Minority in the National Assembly, John Mbadi reiterated that the opposition will boycott the vetting process of the nominees in one of the strategies Nasa plans to employ in crippling President Uhuru's administration.

If Nasa makes true its threat, President Uhuru could find difficulties in reconstituting his Cabinet, especially if he plans to replace the existing Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries with new ones following his re-election.

Nasa's boycott to the committee is informed by its Maanzoni Declaration, made in Machakos County last weekend. The declaration stated that the coalition doesn't recognise Uhuru as President.

“We do not want to be party to the appointment of CSs because we do not recognise the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta as President,” Mbadi, who is the Suba South MP said.

“This is the reason why we will not participate in the formation of this committee and the possibility of vetting his CSs.”

Having taken Oath of Office for his second term on Tuesday, Uhuru is expected to commence the process of picking his new cabinet to help him deliver his agenda as his reign enters home stretch period.

Very original of Nasa... During Obama's 1st term the republicans had a 'no compromise policy' and pledged to block everything Obama. We all know how bad it got for Obama. He never accomplished squart and eventually stepped down in 2016. Uhuru is in trouble.. Wah!!!

Raila withdrew from the presidential race and even told his supporters not to go to the polls on October 26th, so nobody stole his election and yes UK made his bed he is now the duly sworn in president of the republic of Kenya, its time to move on and build the country and not allow one person who is possessed with the idea of becoming the president has overcrowded his judgement.

Jubilee should go ahead and do without NASA, if NASA is not willing to do their part in the vetting process, I would suggest that Jubilee go ahead and do what they need to do, Jubilee should not wait until Raila is satisfied with the way things are I don't think Raila will be happy unless he is the president, but his time has ran out.

Fake threats.I will know they have balls when they boycott their salaries. This raila thing is a boil and very useless idiot. He screwed himself by withdrawing from the fresh election thinking he will affect anything but everything backfired on him.Wait until the other coalition partners withdraw themselves NASA and the greedy ODM will know who the real people are.Selfishness of the highest order by appointing very old members and relatives in East Africa Legislative Assembly.
