How Late Powerful Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott Shared His Billions

Details of how late politician Nicholas Biwott shared his multi-billion shilling estate among family members have emerged.
The Standard, which got hold of the late billionaire's Will says only one out of his four wives benefited directly from his vast wealth.
In his six-page will, the 'Total Man' as he was popularly referred to, expressly stated that his property held by his wife, Johanna Catherina Kiprono Biwott, remain hers and prohibited any member of the family from pursuing it.
His three other wives namely; Margaret Kamar, Callister Mathews and Elizabeth Kattar, are not included in the list of beneficiaries of the billions.
“I am married to Johanna Catherina Kiprono Biwott by virtue of a civil marriage ceremony and any assets held in her name or held by any person upon trust for her are hers exclusively. Neither I nor my estate shall have any interest in or claim to such assets,” he stated.
He bequeathed each of his children from the four wives an equal one-fourteenth share of his estate. Esther Koimett (Elizabeth’s daughter), Rhoda Jacobson and Rita Field Marshal (Catherina’s daughters), Klara Biwott, Gloria Biwott and Immanuel Biwott (Callister’s children) and Maria Biwott, his daughter with Prof Kamar, are listed as the sole heirs of his wealth.
The former powerful Cabinet Minister also ordered the trustees to keep a one-fourteenth share of his estate in trust for his grandchildren, stating that the wealth only be released to them when they reach the age of 25.
The former Keiyo South MP gave up all property he co-owned to his partners. He ordered any assets he co-owned with anyone be left with the other partners and the estate or representatives of his business partners would get the entire share in case of death.
“I bequeath and give all my share, right, title and interest to assets that I jointly own with any other person or persons upon my death to the other person or persons who are lawfully registered, named or designated as a joint owner of such assets,” he wrote.
He named lawyers Desterio Oyatsi and Kenneth Hamish as well as an employee of Yaya Towers Nairobi, Elisabeth Klem, as the executors of his will.
Biwott succumbed to kidney failure on July 11th, 2017 at the age of 77.

Nicholas Biwott was one of the most corrupt person that ever lived on Earth. He was in the same league as Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha and Zaire's dictator Mobutu to name a few corrupt beings that ever lived. He also killed opponent's of Moi's regime such as Dr. Ouko and Archbishop Muge. The Kenya government should try to recover some of the money he hide in Switzerland(stole estimated 100 billion shillings) but it ain't gonna happen because there are no saints in Kenya

One of the most corrupt person ever walked on Earth. I hope he had a good welcome in hell. He stole over 100 billion Kenya Shillings from poor Kenyans that he hide in Swiss and Australian banks. He belongs in the same league as Nigerian Sani Abacha and Zaire's Mobutu Sese seko. Killed anybody that he perceived as a threat to Moi's regime including Dr. Ouko and Bishop Muge. Kenya is a blessed country for criminals

It is more important to tell Kenyans how he acquired his wealth than how he distributed it. This way young ones can aspire to do the same. Or how was it acquired? Nowadays in Kenya, it is more important how it is acquired . God help Kenya!!!

These are the godfathers who have placed Kenya in its miserable state, the fathers of corruption and killing. Biwott will never be remembered for anything positive he did. He is probably one of the greatest thieves of all.

Wake up my fellow Kenyan Waheshimiwa. Anyone supporting Mheshimiwa Ruto to be the next president has been bribed by him.

It doesn’t take tons of wisdom to realize that the singular pursuit of material comforts in this world, legally or otherwise, is all a vanity of vanities. You don’t have a billion, maybe not even a million but heck, you are above the ground & not in it. Biwott, in spite of all his billions, couldn’t buy an extra day on earth. With your loved ones, celebrate whatever little Almighty God has given you & don’t steal or covet. There’s something sweet & very dignified about eating from one’s own sweat. Make a personal vow to fight corruption in Kenya, if by nothing else, by refusing to bribe whatever the consequences.....we need a critical mass of naysayers to effectively fight this scourge
