Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter: I'll Warn Kenyans against Electing William Ruto as President in 2022

Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter has declared war on Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

Taking to social media, the vocal youthful MP vowed to launch a countrywide campaign against the Deputy President's quest to succeed President Kenyatta in the next elections.

“I will go round the country warning Kenyans that if they elect him, they should not associate the consequences of his leadership to the Kenyan nation,” reads part of Keter’s Facebook post.

The second-time parliamentarian said Ruto had called him accusing him (Keter) of intimidating his bid for State House.

“Recently I asked him (Ruto) because he called me saying I have started intimidating his 2022 presidential ambitions. I told him my prayer is for you not to become one, other Kenyan tribes will hate us the Kalenjin saying we are thieves,” he noted.

Speaking recently in Eldoret after the Appeals Court upheld his election, Keter urged Ruto to abandon his corrupt allies and sycophants if he wants to succeed President Uhuru. His election had earlier been nullified by the High Court.

He alleged that DP’s closest allies were behind some of the multi-billion shilling corruption scandals in the country.

“I want to tell the Deputy President the truth; those purporting to be supporting him are just with him for their stomachs."

“They are the ones perpetrating corruption in this country from maize to sugar scandals. If he wants to succeed Uhuru, he should abandon them,” the MP added.

Tell them Keter. Arap Mashamba has a skeleton in the closet. It is very hard to get a clean person in Kenya to be a president in 2022

Ruto without a doubt is the most corrupt Kenyan hands down! That is a proven fact hence the reason why Uhuru has distanced himself from him.
