Woman Confesses to Being in Love Affair with Murdered Catholic Priest for Six Years

A 32-year-old Kenyan Catholic priest who was murdered outside a bar in Meru County in the wee hours of Tuesday morning was reportedly in a love affair with a woman for six years.

Eutychus Murangiri, a priest at Limbine Parish in Tigania West, was stabbed to death outside an entertainment joint in Makutano town.

Before he met his death, Murangiri had allegedly spent several hours drinking at Kinoru Gateway Hotel together with two other people; a man and a woman.

The Standard reports that the two have been in police custody helping with investigations into the priest's killing.

During questioning, the 25-year-old woman told police that she had dated the deceased since 2013 while she was still in college in Embu.

She said they often met in Meru for drinks on Mondays, Murangiri’s official day from work.

On the material day, the woman said the priest picked her up in Meru and they drove to a hotel in Makutano for lunch. They were later joined by Murangiri’s male friend.

The woman is said to have left the priest and his male friend in the bar at around midnight. She went to sleep in a hotel room Murangiri had booked for the night.

“She said she was tired, excused herself and went to the room. The two men were left drinking,” a source told The Standard.

Later, Father Murangiri and his male friend reportedly left the hotel to buy some miraa about 100 meters to the Meru-Maua junction.

The priest was stabbed by thugs as he walked back to his car, which he intended to park closer to the hotel.

The woman, who worked at a guest house in Nkubu town, told police that she was woken up by hotel staff, who told her the priest had been stabbed.

A security guard at the club told detectives that the priest walked from the direction where his car was parked while bleeding before he collapsed near the door.

The woman also told police that she was dating a teacher who works in Kajiado. She also confessed she was five months pregnant with the teacher’s child.

Murangiri, who was ordained as a priest in December last year, will be laid to rest on Monday at the Mujwa Catholic Cemetery, Meru Catholic Diocese spokesman Oreste Murimi said.

Very True @Imara. When we get rid of all these churches and crazy religious beliefs that is when the brains will start to clear. Until then our brains will remain enslaved and colonized.

Ndugu yangu @Mugikuyu:

Ndugu yangu @Mugikuyu:

Hakuna lugha iliyo ngumu kujifunza kuliko nyingine. Shida kubwa iliyopo ni maandishi (written from of the language - orthography) ya lugha.

sahihisho: badala ya kuandika, "...written "from" of the language - orthography) ya lugha. Ilifaa kuwa, "the written "form" of the language."

"Kuteleza sio kuanguka." Wahenga walisema.

It is unfortunate that the priest was killed, but in my view, this death could have been avoided. It is my undertanding that, the catholic church does not condone priests having mistresses .Is this true?Ofcourse my assumption is that his death is related to his association with the lady.I dont want to hear nonsense like-maka siku yako imefika,imefika,unaenda...why should this siku always be after the fact? For siku yako to hold any meaning, it has to be known in advance so that when it comes,it is just confirmation. So people stop using this cliche.

Foreign man-made religions need to be stopped in Kenya.
How do they benefit our people? Those religions were forced on our people. All they do is take our resources, and like the banks they produce nothing. Most if not all are sitting on stolen land. To lay their foundation, those churches, maimed, castrated, raped, humiliated, hanged and killed our fathers and forefathers (while working hand in hand with the colonizers)
They have always been morally bankrupt. It's time to create a Balance Sheet and if they are useless, close them down.
Time for the so called "Black man" to leave foreign idol gods and find return to his own righteous path.

Ndugu yangu @Anonymous UI:

A priest having regular drinks at the bar and no one in his parish knew or just looked the other way. Obviously if he was also sleeping around he could have been set up.Why do men and some women hide behind the church when they are worse than their flock or is it in Kenya we put religious leaders on such high pedestals they can do no wrong in our eyes yet time and again have proved to be hypocrites. What happened to the truth shall set you free

@JustMe:
