Billy Chemirmir, a Kenyan Charged with Murder of 12 Elderly Women in the US, Linked to Another Death

The family of an elderly Dallas woman who died in December, 2017 has filed a lawsuit against an assisted living facility where she lived.

The family of 90-year-old Doris Wasserman claims that she died in the hands of an accused serial killer, Billy Chemirmir, a Kenyan immigrant who is already facing several murder charges.

The family accuses The Tradition-Prestonwood Assisted Living and Memory Care, where Wasserman died, of failing to provide adequate security for residents. In the lawsuit, the family says their kin did not die of natural causes.

Chemirmir, a healthcare worker, currently faces charges for the murders of 12 elderly women in the Texas counties of Dallas and Collin.

The 46-year-old is accused of either strangling or suffocating his victims to steal jewelry and other valuables.

Wasserman's family says $8,500 worth of jewelry was determined to be missing from her apartment after her death.

Their lawsuit notes that Police said that Google tracking data placed Chemirmir in The Tradition-Prestonwood between 3:05 pm and 4:31 pm on December 23rd, 2017, the day Warsame died. Wasserman died at around 3:30 pm, according to the lawsuit.

"We believe that The Tradition put profits over the safety of its residents. To say that this family is devastated and feels betrayed by The Tradition would be a gross understatement," the family's attorney Quentin Brogdon said.

"Doris Wasserman and her family entrusted Ms. Wasserman's safety into the hands of The Tradition because of The Tradition's promises about safety and security -- promises that were made but never kept."

Wasserman is the ninth alleged victim of Chemirmir who lived at The Tradition-Prestonwood.

Chemirmir is currently in the Dallas County Jail in lieu of a $11.6 million bail.

Trump should really re-evaluate his statement about "Mexico bringing in crime and rapists" to include Kenya which is exporting drunken drivers, rapists and con artists. What a shame. The sooner this guy gets the electric chair the better it will be for the victims.

@ Mugikuyu, no doubt what this Kenyan did was horrendous .But if you truly compared the crimes committed by mexicans in any given year,Kenya would pale in comparison.Futher more Trump is more concerned about the sheer number of freeloaders on taxpayers money. Not too many Kenyans I know collect welfare...
Anyway, in my opinion, it does not matter where the criminal came from.He she should be punished in accordance to the law.
Finally, is this fellow normal?

It's really sad that not even his family is speaking out, shedding more light to this case or even defending him. Amwtupwa chini ya basi. Given the fact that they're all involved in the senior citizen care business, leaves a bad taste. You know how it goes, this issue doesn't only affect this family but each and every Kenyan in US especially those in the health sector. This news hits and you know how the stereotypes flows.
