LIST: Kiambu County’s Ferdinand Waititu Ranked Worst Performing Kenyan Governor

A new survey conducted by a London-based company, All Africa Advisors has ranked all the 47 Kenyan governors according to their performance.

The report dubbed Results of an Independent Survey of the Effectiveness of Devolution in Kenya: 2013-2019 was compiled between June and August 2019 and released on Tuesday. 

In the report, Kiambu’s Ferdinand Waititu was named the worst-performing Governor at position 47.

Waititu was followed by Governor Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), Fahim Twaha (Lamu), and Amason Kingi (Kilifi) respectively.

Alfred Mutua of Machakos was rated the best performing governor followed by Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Mike Sonko (Nairobi), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Hassan Joho (Mombasa).

All Africa Advisors said the survey measured perception of performance of counties using indicators such as governance, infrastructure, safe water provision, health, housing, food security, investment and manufacturing, social services, poverty eradication among others.

Kenya does not need foreign based companies to do surveys.
Two, this is perception based not quantitative so it is maybe misleading. During the time this survey was conducted, Waititu was in trouble and hence the poor score. Not surprising Mutua is the first cos the guy knows how to blow his trumpet loud and clear. Its common knowledge Kibutha Kibwana is head and shoulders above all. And Joho number five with all the stinking garbage in Mombasa and drugs? Please. This is purely political.

Totally agree but why does waititu remain in power after being arrested ? Why can’t the MCA impeach him? As for Sonko and Joho it’s nothing but corruption
