Don't Mistake My Silence for Stupidity, Enraged Uhuru Tells Politicians Allied to DP Ruto

President Kenyatta has lashed out at leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto, accusing them of politicizing the recently launched Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report and engaging in premature 2022 succession politics.

Kenyatta, who spoke on Wednesday in Gatundu North during the launch of St Francis Mang’u Health Centre constructed by the Japanese Embassy in partnership with the Catholic Church at a cost of Sh8.9 million, said the leaders were only championing for their own selfish interests.

He added that the same politicians who are giving conditions on implementation of the BBI report were the same ones who traversed the country before its release, vowing to reject its recommendations.

“There comes a point where we say enough is enough and we are tired! Before we released the report, they were all over for a month lecturing us about things. Now the report is out and they have taken another direction. These are people who do not know where they are headed,” a seemingly furious Kenyatta said.

“Let them not come here and lecture you on what to do. You are not foolish and let them not take you for fools. Let no one tell you what to do. Read the report for yourselves and decide what you want.”

“I always say that my happiness is to see that people have voted and have gone to their homes without being worried that their property will be burnt or they will be slashed with a panga… not worried where their children are because it is election day. You need to vote and go home and hopefully, your wife has cooked chapatis, you eat with your children and wait for the results. Don’t you want peace? Don’t you want unity?” he asked area residents.

Kenyatta said the leaders should not mistake his silence for stupidity, adding that only God and Kenyans will decide who will succeed him in 2022.

“When the day comes, only God and you the voters will decide who will be elected. Let them stop bothering us. Read the BBI report and let’s unite this country.”

“They see me silent and think ‘he is just there and knows nothing’. There is nothing I do not know and when the time comes, I know those who speak and they are not those who are speaking now. When the time comes, we will come and we will speak to you about what we will do. Mwaka mpya, we are with you. Let’s just first listen to their lectures. We are with you,” he said.

Lord Jesus, just what the hell is this guy smoking?
How can madness take a hold on a human with such responsibility? What do you want Kenyans to do? You- for your own selfish-myopic,misguided/cony reason behind your party members/trusted deputy who sacrificed his all to get you where you now stand entered in "handshake" with one raila. For the sake of peace that is a good thing. In a corrupt way you caused monies be used by persons chosen by only two of you without regard to your party/ies/DP and they "produced" a report you told "kenyans" to read! Turns out that to you elected leaders from mt. Kenya are not "people" It turns out that leaders who support your deputy are not people- pray what did you want with the garbage bbi? It will need to be voted at one point both as referendum and in parliament.Who will vote for it if not mps? Guess what- in your drunken sense of having "arrived" you have forgotten where we have come from.It shocks me that you can speak this way as a way of seeking peace! You seem to have a demonic vision that is going to leave a very sad legacy in our country. If you two "entitled princes" are genuine with Kenyans and wish them peace- you would never call people to your devilish schemes of stopping their work to start campaigns that will lead to total disaster. If raila loves Kenya - he does not/never did- you would have agreed on UNCONDITIONAL RECONCILIATION.Let the clown accept elections in whatever form and for the sake of GOD get out of the scene (two of you ASAP).No more Kenyan should endure your stupidity and no single Kenya should suffer in you name.HAVE YOU TWO NO SHAME!Nobody asked you for BBI! You start (start a fire) and blame the victims? Your chest thumping especially to those of us who spent our time prying for you and the DP when we saw the injustice that was ICC feel so let down and stupid. What are you threatening Kenyans about? You need help ASAP! No Kenyan hate another Kenyan- how could we? My mom is Kisii- my niece is Luo-my nephews are Kalenjin/Luyia they all call me Uncle- Their mothers/fathers/uncles are from all communities- why/how would i hate them? I love them/i care for them/i wish the best for them- i pray for them. Only entitled brats would use innocent Kenyans as pawns in their demonic quest for power.Kenyans-kindly tell the two to meet in their mansions and greet each other as many times as they wish! How can uhuru treat his deputy like trash? What has he "seen?" where was his "heroism" when DP Ruto was kneeling before his people and before God asking his people for vote for you in a record 3 ELECTIONS? How do you show such contempt to elected leaders just because "your term is done?" Your father was constrained by time (age) and history- he tried-we gave him a chance- HE Moi was dealt a good card- he tried- his education notwithstanding. Kibaki was sabotaged but he tried. You sir has chosen to sabotage yourself and take down the country with you.You have decided to constrain your self by stupidity and lack of foresight.Kindly stop the BS that is BBI-leave Kenyans alone- pay school fees for that boy who cannot report to Mang'u . Put that money there. But you do not care- how would you? you two have never LACKED- KENYANS SHOULD REMEMBER THAT.

Pole Franco for having some bile about Ruto being treated so damn bad, as you say “like trash!”. Well, where I come from a known thief is not well treated. He is put inside a bee hive and rolled down the highest cliff to die alone. Although you are so cross-cultured with some Kales calling you Kaka, and others calling you Mujoba, I beg you to understand that Ruto is the most corrupt DP to ever hold the VP position in Africa. He is stolen from his neighbors beginning with pieces of land, both big and small; participated in the evaporation of Kshs 21 billion meant for dams, he is involved in questionable myriads of corrupt deals across Kenya. Surely this man deserves to be treated with the contempt that he surely deserves! Franco - recently Wako got barred to travel out of Kenya to the US - now do you think Ruto should be barred in similar manner?! The BBI is meant to address these types of issues to create a levered play ground for all your cross- cultured relatives to feel like normal Kenyans and do not have to shed blood every five years when election cycle comes!

Thanks Maina for the "education". I never thought/heard/imagined that BBI was formed because DP Ruto was "corrupt".I thought Kenya has courts from smallest to the supreme court! No case is ongoing regarding HE Ruto. So we need BBI for every "corrupt" person? No amount of smear will heal our nation.I dare uhuru to arrest ruto on corruption- take him to court and i hope afford him due process. How can one that escaped a "noose" at ICC by false prosecution allow people to spread a false narrative about his deputy? Answer because he is a coward! a fraud who thinks people are stupid. Is governor waiguru corrupt? I did not think so just because raila said so! They are now "good buddies" .I need no lectures from nobody- i slept on cold floors warmed by my calf in 1969 as a child in burnt Forest due to "land clashes" .Jomo was the president then- he never protected me. Uhuru will not protect me from nothing. It is Kenyans that will raise up and say we are better than this and SAVE ourselves from stupid.I have experienced all violence caused by politics with climax in 2007 when we lost everything. We buried our parents (those who could not stand the pain) in exile. Please no room for small talk MAINA.

Wow Francis - 1969? Boy you are quite old to ignore the facts!!? If you are in exile, Kenya has become a very free country since 1969 and you are welcome to come back home to assist with development. The BBI will bring closure to issues of nonsensical fights in the Rift Valley regions where many innocent Kenyans have been maimed, threatened constantly and even paid the Latinate price of death. Since 1992 - Moi Era - many people that I know suffers in the RV. The climax was in 2007 when Ruto instructed the Kales to kill indiscriminately for no justifiable reason(s). You are very lucky to have slept with a @calf@ because they are many who died and others had to relocate to other parts of Kenya as if RV belongs to Kales alone. Recently - your well educated Sudi issued threatening nonsensical warning if Ruto does not win presidency in 2022. Well, I have hot knees for you - there is no room in Kenya for a Ruto presidency - it is my tyrant of predication based on the current climate on the ground about Ruto. Those following Ruto around are also known thieves - Governor Waititu etc! You can not steal from Kenyans and expect to lead them. Period!!

Oh MAINA , your comprehension is a bit of a problem! I do not need to "come build Kenya".I do not know about you but i have dedicated my life to building Kenya my whole life.Since i entered school in class one i have never left.
I started teaching back in my primary as an intern (mentor) from when i joined form 1.I went to university and started teaching HS in Mombasa- No complain-posted to Turkana to teach students who had had no teacher for years- no complain- i gladly took up the challenge. My Turkana students that i taught today are senior public servants.I came to "slums" of Nairobi and taught wonderful students who did very well. They are serving in all sectors of Kenya. I went back to university to take up teaching and have taught thousands of teachers/scientists/engineers and all positions you can imagine. I have never left our classrooms and have done my best to "build". I have then no clue what you are talking about.By exile i meant (outside their land). You must be confused to lecture me on violence of RV! I have been live on the ground and been a victim! Talk to me about 1992-i could not bury my own mother and left shallow grave because the flare-up started before we could finish!I can share with you photos of myself/my family/village mates in 1997 pleading with police at camps in burnt Forest to stop the killings- i was running between Nakuru where some had ran to but violence started there too- NDEFFO ever heard of that? I was jumping fires to reach my disabled brother who could not run! Please spare me the ignorance. How does bbi solve the problem? By rewarding raila? By rewarding impunity? BBI is to solve corruption when the co-chair of BBI has been put on "no US visit list due to corruption?" Unlike you i believe wako deserves due process. Is is not ironical and i respect Moi for it that he is the only one in Kenya who has accepted the results of elections and never sought to even put a fight for uhuru? I have nowhere said anything about ruto being president- i have a problem with bad manners/childish show that uhuru is putting forth. It smells to the heavens and their little scheme will be up in smoke and please keep this read!

Wow, it is neither a curse nor witchcraft(s) - there is no Mundu Mugo here - it is happening life - and Ruto should know there is no love lost! Ruto is a guy who doesn’t listens and answers to no body. Everything about Ruto is all about Ruto, himself and him, period!! A good leader listens and does not use his hypocritical sycophants like the Sudis, Murkomen, etc to pass covert messages to Uhuru in burial rites and then expect Uhuru to do any favor to him😎. Please also note that the high prince of corruption have angered all Kenyans for not supporting the corruption war - he shall not be forgiven for this error; it confirms the narrative that he is a thief and he is guilty as accused. Please take this one simple fact to the bank - Ruto will never become the president of Kenya without Raila’s/Uhuru’s blessings! As it stands now, Ruto has no chance to be in the next government. The central voters with revisit all the insults Ruto has leveled to Uhuru in 2022 regardless of the what the MP Nyoros have to say; and by extension Nyoro and the likes are just one term MPs and will be thrown into a political dust bin on 2022 - it is my prediction and watch that line!

Maina (not verified)     Wed, 12/04/2019 @ 07:03pm

Francis - corruption is not a small talk as you would want Kenyans to view it! Those who pay the embezzled taxes are just ordinary folks - your old dad/mama who toil on daily basis and struggle to make the ends meet. If those ordinary Kenyans did 1/8 of what your glorious thieving “fren” has done as Ruto would say, they would be rotting in some cold cell in Kamiti or Shimi la Tewa prisons. I find your hypocrisy perturbing and gravely strange that you seem to glorify those who have put fellow Kenyans at risk through corruption and other unwarranted means without regard. The judiciary is also a bunch of corrupt learned characters who would prefer to spend publicly allocated funds buying Mercedes 600s for their own joy; and could care less about the average folks. And that is why they give a pass to political thieves for their future protections. For your information - BBI will address issues of corruption, keep corrupt politicians away from the reach of political positions, and create a level playing ground for all Kenyans regardless of wealth - properly earned or stolen, and it will allow the small communities to successfully run for the higher political offices. The time is ripe for Kenya to turn back the clock of corruption for a better Republic!

Maina, let’s not cheat ourselves that bbi is created for the purposes of ending corruption. Kenya has never ran short of laws curbing corruption since self rule. What has been lacking is a leader of goodwill. Kenya today does not have that leader. Poor or weak leadership is a sure recipe for corruption among other things.

Maina (not verified)     Wed, 12/04/2019 @ 07:07pm

As far as the ICC is concerned - Moreno and Ruto still have a case to answer! The next government should appeal Ruto’s case so he can answer what he did to those he referred to as madowadowa and the burning of women and children in the house of God!

@Maina; you got worms in your brain, ushenzi utacha mzee!!! To my point regarding the mlevi Uhuru lecturing Kenyans about his overrated handshake with his grandpa Raila spiced with BBI; BULLSHIT!!!
He thinks the Kenyatta family owns Kenya or what? Watu wa R.V know the deal; Uhuro kumi, Ruto kumi!
The dude is trying to sneak some shit from the back door kaa hatuoni! He wants to pull a Kagame and Museveni shit using handshake & BBI. Nope & NOT IN KENYA, maybe you try Tanzania, you might get lucky.
Get pissed off till you drop, kila mtu ni mwanaume kwake, usituletee nyevnyev!! Finish you term and disappear like a CHESAWIIL! BBI was a copy amd paste from punguza mzigo, those who drafted it should be sued for plagiarism!!!!!

Wow, very very nice!! You got such a colorful and meaningless Dudu!! You are so gifted in the use of carca words. One just wonders the kind of teachers you had in Uasin Gishu, the cattle wrestlers haven who taught those words. Can you repeat them in yokoyoko language - your mama tongue! At least you have admitted that every politician whole hales from Uasin-Nyoro is corrupt and a thief - that one I totally agree with you!

Money will be blossoming every where if the DP Ruto could tame his theft appetite and corruption schemes. He takes every shilling which could be available to pay the employees of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zanzibar. Most of the 47 counties have nothing to show for the money they get from treasury. By the way who is “we know” - do you not think you sound foolish when you speak for others? Just speak for yourself - and remember that the high prince of corruption - Ruto marginalizes Kshs 21 billion theft as the cost of his cup of tea in Eldoret and have hosed the country to its knees - don’t you think this is really stupid? Chelugui , a Ruto Allie spent yesterday attempting to answer what he did with Kshs 10 billion for some unfinished dam - a portion of that money went to Ruto for church donations to win political favors through stolen monies! If all the stolen money was properly used, no one will be needing to borrow to fund vital national projects! Now, who is the dummy here; you, Ruto or Uhuru - or the first and the second names mentioned? A thief public resources is the biggest stupid of all!

My comment has nothing to do with Ruto. His greed is only surpased by that of the matriarch of the first family. Your blind love of the first family is very telling. Facts are unquestioned. The national debt is up and unemployment is up. Stupid has no cure.

If nothing changes between now and 2022, Uhuru legacy has already been felt by the common mwananchi, the worst level of poverty, joblessness, high indebtedness and many other ills. Not even during the 24 yrs rule of Nyayo misrule did the common man experience suck kind of hopelessness
