Fraud Suspect Arrested at JKIA on Arrival from the US

Sleuths from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday night nabbed a wanted fraud suspect at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.

Jackson Njau Kinyanjui, who is wanted in connection with fraud in the Arror and Kimwarer dams’ scandal, was arrested at the airport upon landing from the United States, according to DCI. He was intercepted by immigration officers at JKIA and handed over to DCI detectives.

When interrogated, the suspect said he had been cleared to travel abroad after securing his passport from Milimani Law Courts after the previous arrest.

Kinyanjui, whose arrest order was issued on July 22nd, 2019, is accused of fraudulently benefiting from the proceeds of Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal, in which KSh.21 billion was allegedly lost.

Kinyanjui, an economist, is a former director of resource mobilization at the National Treasury and served under suspended Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich’s tenure. He has been detained as further investigations continue.

It is so funny those who have merely benefited are getting arrested while DP Ruto, Murkomen, Sudi and what have you are still roaming the streets!? Ruto interpreted 21 billion shillings to be 7 billion shillings; probably the actual amount that went to his pockets! People we are donkeyly tired of these thieves of our taxes and money borrowed from the yellow man in China!?
