Uhuru Safe as 4 People Test Positive for Covid-19 at State House

Four people have tested positive for Covid-19 at State House, Nairobi.
The four cases were recorded following mass testing carried out last Thursday, according to State House spokesperson Kanze Dena.
Dena said the four State House employees were taken to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital for treatment.
“The tests are conducted on all staff including His Excellency the President and members of his family. Families and close contacts of the affected officers are also being attended to accordingly,” Dena said in a statement on Monday.
She further assured Kenyans that President Kenyatta and the First Family are safe and free from the infection.
“To strengthen Covid-19 containment measures, extra access protocols for State House staff residing outside the compound and visitors have been rolled out.”
“State House would also like to remind Kenyans that every person is at risk of contracting Covid-19. No one is immune to the disease. Let us all, therefore, endeavor to fully adhere to the Covid-19 containment protocols as set out by the Ministry of Health,” added Dena.
On Monday, Kenya’s Covid-19 cases rose to 3,727 after 133 more people tested positive for the bug.
At the same time, the total number of recoveries rose by 33 to 1,286 while the death toll jumped by one to 104.

It will be more a forest fire. It will burn old trees and brush that are not serving any useful purpose anymore and replace them with young energetic shoots.

The way WHO initially communicated the disease has led to those who test positive to face the greatest stigmatization in their communities. This is even after treatment and testing negative. The huge focus on containing the virus will soon reach the breaking point for some countries (with weak health systems) if the vaccine is not available.Think of the country Burundi whose president recently died - with only one ventilator.
