Narok Governor Samwel Ole Tunai Survives Helicopter Crash

Narok Governor Samwel Ole Tunai was on Saturday rushed to the hospital after he was involved in a helicopter crash.

The aircraft crash-landed in Eldamat area in Narok County a few minutes after taking off, according to reports.

Governor Tunai had attended a burial at Enenkipejus village in Melili, Narok North Sub-county, and was returning to Narok town when the chopper went down.

Witnesses said the pilot experienced difficulties flying the aircraft and it crashed shortly after it took off.

"After taking off for the fifth time, it crash-landed after a 100m distance," the witness said.

Tunai, the pilot, and four other occupants were taken to Narok County Referral Hospital on a Red Cross ambulance for checkups.

Confirming the incident, area MCA Moses Ole Samante said the Governor Tunai is out of danger.

Why was he flying? In most of the world public servants drive if the distance is less than 100km unless one is a president of a rich country. Wasting public funds to fly within narok conty should not be allowed. Stupid residents of the county should take to the streets and he refunds the money. That is your money. Improve the roads.
