Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko Breaks Silence Following Impeachment

Mike Mbuvi Sonko has spoken out following his impeachment as the Nairobi Governor.
Sonko was axed from the position after the Senate on Thursday found him guilty of all the four charges leveled against him by the Nairobi County Assembly.
In a lengthy Facebook post on Saturday, Sonko said he was excited to go back to his “normal life” and to be with his supporters.
"As I said before, there is life after politics, and I am excited to go back to my life and to be with the ordinary people who have been supporting me all my political life,” he noted.
He further alleged that some Senators were bribed with Sh2 million Christmas token each to vote in favor of his removal from office.
“During the voting exercise, Sh2 million was offered by the state for Christmas so that the law can be breached.”
“Some of my former colleagues in @Senate_KE had to sacrifice me coz of political pressure from their party bosses who personally called them one by one to impeach me because I was not born in Statehouse and my father was not President nor Prime Minister and Vice President as well,” he added.
At the same time, Sonko insisted that his wife, Primrose Mbuvi, and daughter, Saumu Mbuvi who were both dragged into his impeachment case over their trip to the US were innocent.
“To my beautiful wife & daughter whose names were dragged into this mess while the trip was state-approved to continue to be strong women. You’ve never done any business with @NairobiCityGov or won tenders with Kemsa in the #CovidBillionaires scandal to enrich urselves or our family,” Sonko stated.
Sonko downplayed his impeachment saying it was done by a few Senators and not the people of Nairobi, adding that he will continue to have faith in God as he has better plans for him.
“I have been allegedly impeached by a few Senators, but I have not been impeached by the people of Nairobi and Kenyans at large, God has not impeached me as well and I know He has better plans for me. I have faith in God. I will walk with Him to the end of this journey,” he said.
“To all my people and supporters who’ve believed and stood with me throughout my 10-year political journey, no matter how hard it gets, don’t give up on your dreams, no matter what happened/happens to me, I’ll stand with you and I’ll continue supporting you whenever you’re in need,” he concluded.

Ask Sonko to put bandaid across his big lips 👄 and shut his mouth from within! USA’s CIA agents are baying for his blood for trafficking drugs.
He better behave like his uncles - Mwau and Kabogo did! Else he will face the wrath of air tight Drones like his grandpa governor Kibwana hovering over his head!

Sonko needs a duct tape not a bandaid. Better yet he needs to suture his lips together for at least a year.
