Jubilee Removes Deputy President William Ruto from Top Party Position
The Jubilee Party’s National Management Committee (NMC) has resolved to remove Deputy President William Ruto as the party’s deputy leader.
Jubilee secretary-general Raphael Tuju said the NMC, which is the second most powerful organ of the ruling party, decided to fire Ruto for sabotaging the party.
Ruto has been accused of violating the Jubilee Party’s constitution and associating himself with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
The NMC has forwarded its verdict to the National Executive Council (NEC), the party’s highest decision-making organ.
“The NMC discussed the matter and resolved to remove the DP as per the party constitution. The matter is active; we have the recommendations of NMC and now only waiting for the party leader to convene an NEC meeting to deliberate on the matter,” Tuju told The Standard.
Ruto’s fate lies with President Kenyatta, who is the Jubilee Party leader and chair of the NEC whose decision is final.
Early this month, the NMC announced the removal of Soy MP Caleb Kositany as Jubilee Party deputy secretary-general. Kositany, a close ally of Ruto, was replaced by his Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny.
Kenyatta and Ruto have had a strained relationship in recent months fueled by the latter’s decision to conduct early 2022 campaigns and his stand on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Very nice! It is time for him to go! Ruto always cares about Ruto! He should be fired as the DO of the Republic of Kenya! Kenya deserves a working DP instead of a campaigner in chief! Ruto is a very useless man! All he knows is corruption of the highest order; a big thief who is cia tailed by other thieves like Rigathi, Sonko, Waititu, Ndindi nyoro, etc!
