Nairobi Man Confesses to Selling Girlfriend’s Sh5.7 Million Car After Disagreement

A 32-year-old man has confessed to selling his girlfriend’s luxury vehicle worth Sh5.7 million following a disagreement.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi at Milimani law courts on Tuesday, Paul Kihika Wangari admitted he sold the Prado Land Cruiser while in Shanzu, Mombasa.

He told the court that the complainant was his girlfriend. Kihika was charged that between February 5th, 2021, and April 3rd, 2021 in Nairobi, he stole a car registration number KCF 656X, which is the property of Hellen Akinyi Omiti.

In his statement, the accused told police that he met Akinyi at a bar on Mombasa Road in 2019 and started a relationship. The relationship blossomed and he started using her cars.

In February 2021, Akinyi sent Kihika to Shanzu to supervise the refurbishment of her house there. He used her Prado to travel to the coastal city.

While there, Akinyi sent the man Sh80,000 to carry out repairs on the posh car but he asked for more cash for personal use, leading to a disagreement.

After the argument over the phone, Kihika says he decided to sell off the car to raise money to solve some personal problems he was facing.

“I did not consult her before I disposed of the car,” Kihika admitted.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh300,000 or a bond of Sh500,000. The case will be mentioned in a fortnight to fix hearing dates.

If you had your own business (shuguli) to take care of, why didn’t you get a job like real men do?

You are selling a woman car and have no shame narrating the reasons you stole the car!

Your honor the honorable judge, please jail this big loafing thief for 55 years of hard labor to get him off scavenging women on the streets!

How do you defend stealing a woman’s car? At the same he is going to court in a stolen suit! Hawa wakikuyu wako na maajabu!!

I have never heard of this type of relationship where a kikuyu man is being fed by a Luo woman! Huyu Kijana yako na shinda zake!

It is always the other way around - where a luo is mooching on a hardworking kikuyu man! I have mixed friends on both sides - but we all know our luo girl is chasing a kikuyu man because Thebes there is nicer, bigger, and there is lots of food in the box!

Surely the world is rapidly changing for the better if a luo woman can even sponsor a kikuyu man! Maybe he is extra good in performance in the sack! Sijasikia haya mambo!!
