Kakuya, who lives with albinism, joined the prestigious school in 2019 after she won a scholarship courtesy of First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

The Albinism Society of Kenya celebrated the girl’s performance and thanked Mrs. Kenyatta for securing her the scholarship.

“Our little girl is still topping in her class with straight As. We are glad to have been her destiny connector to study at the prestigious Brookhouse School courtesy of the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, after we took her to meet the President. Albinism Society of KENYA is truly proud of her,” the society said on its Facebook page.

Kakuya sat for her KCSE exam at St Anne’s Junior Lubao in Kakamega county and scored 455 out of the possible 500 marks.

The marks earned the teenager admission to Kenya High School where she studied for one year before winning a scholarship that saw her enroll at Brookhouse School.
