President Uhuru Arrives in the US for a Two-Day Working Visit

President Kenyatta on Sunday arrived in the United States for a two-day working visit.

Kenyatta landed in New York, where he is slated to chair a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) high-level debate on diversity, state-building, and peace.

Kenya is currently holding the monthly rotational presidency of the Council after assuming her position as a non-permanent member of the UNSC on January 1st this year for a period of two years.

Kenyatta is also expected to hold bilateral talks with UN secretary-general Antonio Guteress where they will discuss several matters of mutual interest to Kenya and the UN, including the global response to COVID-19.

“Kenya has been very specific on the steps it expects the United Nations to take particularly in regard to the Covid-19 pandemic vaccination, peace and security and how the world should get to COP26 in a month’s time. How the world responds to climate change is key to Kenya’s future prosperity,” said Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the UN Martin Kimani.

The president will also witness the signing of a trade agreement between the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (Kepsa) and the Corporate Council on Africa, the largest umbrella body of US companies operating in Africa.

The agreement aims to enhance collaboration between Kenyan companies, especially SMEs with their American counterparts in a government effort to create more jobs and employment opportunities for Kenyan youth.

Uhuru will also participate in the Global Leaders' high-level discussion organized by the International Peace Institute (IPI) to discuss contemporary subjects.

Mwakilishi, you are neglecting to tell us very important information that is of interest to us who reside in this country. He will also preside in the opening of Jubilee US branch offices in Georgia, Seattle WA, LA CA, and Dallas TX.

Ali,the question is,what is the truth? You know african leaders are known not to tell the truth to the public if they are seeking medical care,or even appearing sick.Yes there is nothing wrong with getting medical attention. That's what one should do,It it the way such matters are nebulously treated that lead to suspicions, and conjecture. Just say,Iam sick,or I have a business meeting...and make it clear. That's all. What say you?

UNITED NATIONS IS ONE DEAD BODY. ASKING FOR BILLIONS BUT DELIVERING MINIMAL LIKE MOST NGOS.
UN HAS DONE ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF SO MANY SUFFERING MASSES.
UN HASN'T STOPPED ANY WARS YET.
UN HASN'T STOPPED ANY GENOCIDES.
UN CANNOT EVEN BE ABLE TO ADDRESS THE CURRENT EPIDEMIC.
UN AIN'T DOING ENOUGH...PERIOD.
THIS ONE TIME I WILL SIDE WITH TRUMP AND SAY, FORGET UN.
ALL THESE MEETINGS HELD EVERY OTHER DAY IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MUCH NEEDED RESOURCES.

is he also here in the us to negotiate how hardworking Kenyans in the USA could pay taxes in Kenya. like they did in Britain with the nurses. it would not surprise me that's the main reason. they been trying to get you to pay taxes in Kenya. they also know u.s knows how to collect taxes way better. joe Biden send them back home. this is not a communist country. first they change the passport type like cloths so they can get your money. make you travel all the way to Kenya to apply. next time someone comes with a Bluetooth passport expect to change too any excuse goes. pity us.

@ Hard workingK, if that happens, the brunt of the blame goes to MWIKILISHI, every month they publish billions send to Kenya.Obviously Uhuru sees these figures, and if he misses, his eagle eyed money hungry buddies dont.Think about it, 20% tax would pretty good chunk for the treasury, and greasing palms of afew would be trouble makers.

What job does the UN Security counsel do?
They need to secure themselves from looters of public funds first.
