Senior AIPCA Church Leader Arrested with Sh41 Million in Fake US Dollars

An African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) leader was on Friday arraigned in a Nairobi court for being in possession of fake currency.

Bernard Maina Mwangi, the Secretary-General of the AIPCA Church in Kenya, was found in possession of $365,000 fake US dollars (Sh41,756,000) and Sh96,000 counterfeit notes.

He was arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) along Kiambu Road, with the fake currencies being found in his car.

The charge sheet stated that Mwangi, who is said to have committed the offense on March 10th, was caught with 100 US dollars that he claimed were bills of exchange.

Detectives acting on an intelligence report arrested him and took him to DCI headquarters for questioning. Upon further investigation, the officers recovered fake notes amounting to Sh41 million in his vehicle.

Appearing before Milimani law courts, Mwangi pleaded not guilty to the charges pressed against him and was released on Sh100,000 cash bail.

May be that's why Jirongo who was the leader and Nyamweya a member of the YK92 are being hosted in AZIMIO to provide the fake money.
Msonobari, is that true?
