Ruto is 10 Times Worse Than Moi, Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe Says
Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe has warned Kenyans against electing Deputy President William Ruto as the country’s fifth president.
Murathe, a close ally of President Kenyatta, said Ruto will ruin the country should he ascend to power, describing the deputy president as a greedy leader.
"I have nothing personal against William Ruto and if he wins the presidency, then I shall congratulate him. What I hate about him is his actions,” Murathe told Kameme TV in an interview.
He held that Ruto, who is eyeing the presidency in the forthcoming elections under the UDA party, is 10 times worse than former President Daniel Arap Moi, claiming he would change the law to cling on to power for 30 years.
“Ruto is like Moi ten times. And all Kenyans and Mt Kenya residents know how Moi destroyed our country economically. Now here comes Ruto who has more energy, more money and younger,” Murathe asserted.
He added: “If Ruto ascends to the presidency, he will change the Constitution to reign for 30 years. You know his mentor is Yoweri Museveni.”
At the same time, Murathe accused Ruto of being corrupt and high-handed, saying the worst version of the deputy president would be manifested once he clinches the presidency.
"I can’t imagine a Ruto presidency. See how he’s behaving as a second–in–command, think how he will behave as the president," he said.
“He is always temperamental when he talks. He is not even able to hide his anger. And one is left wondering, what is annoying him. I fear such people.”

Imara Daima, I sincerely don’t want to blame you for not knowing the inner workings in the offices of president or deputy president. These guys don’t sit eight hours filling blanks other signatures. They have all the time in the world as their work is mainly done by their subordinates. Most if the time is used for social meetings. And if one can utilize that time to educate more what’s wrong with that? Isn’t what we all do in our society?
