Nandi Hills MP Aspirant Wesley Kogo Killed in a Car Crash in Nairobi

Nandi Hills parliamentary aspirant Wesley Kibet Kogo is dead.
Kogo, popularly known as Tingeet, passed away in a grisly road accident in Nairobi’s Kangemi area on Thursday morning.
The politician lost his life after the Classic Shuttle matatu he was traveling in reportedly rammed a bus at Kangemi area along the busy Nairobi-Nakuru highway at 5:30 am.
Kogo, who was eyeing the Nandi Hills MP seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket, was heading to Nairobi for a talk show at Kass FM. His body was moved to the City mortuary.
His death comes just a week before the UDA party nominations scheduled for next Thursday. Kogo was set to challenge incumbent Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter for the UDA ticket.
The youthful politician has been eulogized as a promising and visionary leader. Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi described Kogo as “a very ambitious and vibrant leader who inspired many.”
“I first interacted with him during UDA aspirants forum at Deputy President's Karen residence. He shared with me his dreams, vision and his candidature for Nandi Hills parliamentary seat…Death has robbed us a true jewel,” Sudi said on Facebook.
