Ruto Secures Jobs for Kenyans in Djibouti in New Agreement

Kenya and Djibouti have come to an agreement that will see Kenya send English teachers to the latter to help implement the language into their educational system.

Similarly, Kenyan students in technical and vocational schools, as well as medical training colleges, will receive assistance from French language trainers from Djibouti. This, as declared by President William Ruto, will help to improve the language proficiency of Kenyan graduates who are looking for jobs outside of the country.

“We have further agreed to expedite the negotiation of a framework that enables the reciprocal recognition of certificates issued by our respective institutions of higher learning. I have informed the President that Kenya is extending an offer of 300 positions in our higher learning institutions to Djiboutian students, at the same fees applicable to Kenyan students ”Ruto said.

Ruto is in Djibouti to attend the 14th Ordinary Assembly of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). This meeting, scheduled for June 12th 2023, will be the first IGAD gathering since 2019 and is set to stress the significance of advancing regional diplomacy and collaboration. The meeting between the two heads of state follows the second session of the Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) between Kenya and Djibouti. During the engagement, Ruto and Omar agreed to expedite the negotiations and completion of a thorough labour agreement between the two nations to improve coordination on labour migration.

Some of us are so biased towards Ruto to a point we don't see any value in anything he says or does but this one makes sense

Eritreans are third to Somalis and Nigerians as far as refugees found everywhere but their own country .How genuine are some of these job offers because considering the large number of Ethiopians Eritreans and Yemeni traversing all over the place including attempting to get to Europe by boats would they not just cross over to Djibouti .Apparently it is a trend with this guy wherever he tanga tangas he signs agreements for job opportunities will Kenya be built by these workers sending money home.Is the grass always greener on the other side what happened to creating local employment
