Kawira Mwangaza's Step-Daughter Begs for Help to Clear Sh150,000 School Fees

Kawira Mwangaza's Step-Daughter Begs for Help to Clear Sh150,000 School Fees

Riziki Murega, a university student and the daughter of Murega Baichu, is reaching out to Kenyans for support in settling her outstanding school fee balance of Sh150,000.

A weighty financial burden is halting her ambition of taking the last set of exams at Murang'a University. Speaking during an interview, Riziki reveals her current predicament, imploring empathetic souls for financial aid to complete her degree. She discloses that there has been a strained relationship with her father for nearly a decade and that these tensions have destroyed communication between the two of them for the entire duration.

Riziki's mother is unable to cover the fees due to her unstable financial standing and the burden of footing the education expenses of her younger siblings who are in high school. With the year-end exams approaching, Riziki earnestly implores Kenyans to contribute towards clearing her fees. The 22-year-old is the eldest of three siblings and has been under her mother's care since the separation of her mother and Baichu. After the separation, Baichu married the embattled Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza.

Riziki laments over the worsening financial situation, largely due to the escalating cost of education in the country. Despite the pleas of parents, the government has suggested a potential increase in school fees for government institutions. If the proposed 2023/2024 structure is implemented, parents will be forced to allocate even more funds for their children's education.

I am wondering what is the intended perception of mentioning that Riziki Murega is Governor Nyawira's step-daughter?
