Raila: Road to Canaan Still on Course

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has maintained that the journey to Canaan is still on course.

Addressing the faithful at Gatina PAG Church on Sunday, Raila condemned the killings witnessed in Nairobi's Kawangware estate on Friday and alleged that politics in Kenya have been militarized.

Three people were killed on Friday and several others injured after two rival groups engaged each other.

Raila said that he was the right person to end tribalism, which President Uhuru Kenyatta has failed to do. He also accused Uhuru of resorting to using "force to rule".

"Kenyans want justice, not rule by force. The road to Canaan is still on course. Kenya needs a selfless leader to deal with tribalism, which Jubilee cannot solve," he said.

He said that Nasa has an agenda that will accelerate growth and eradicate poverty in the country.

He said last week's quorum hitch at the Supreme Court "was an indication of a crippling Judiciary".

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader compared the Jubilee administration governance to that of late Uganda President Idi Amin's dictatorial regime.

Raila was flanked by MPs Simba Arati (Dagoretti North), Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini), George Aladwa (Makadara); and women reps Florence Mutua (Busia Woman rep), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), and Esther Passaris (Nairobi).

Last week, Raila said Nasa had transformed to National Resistance Movement to fight against oppression by the government.
