Raila Says He Will Be Sworn in as President on December 12th

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has disclosed that he be be sworn in as the president of Kenya on December 12th.

Addressing his supporters at a roadside rally in Embakasi area in Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon, the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader said he will use Chapter 1 of the Constitution, which states that sovereign power belongs to the people of Kenya.

"I am not a coward, I will be sworn as president on Jamhuri Day, I am the legitimate president," he told his supporters during a stop-over on Mayanja Road.

Raila said the coalition will use the results of August 8th election to install him as the president He maintained that he won the nullified poll by a majority votes.

“Server indicated that we had 8.8 million votes while Kenyatta had 7.1million votes,” he said.

He insisted that Nasa will not recognize President Uhuru Kenyatta and his government despite Uhuru's swearing in on Tuesday.

“We went to the courts and they said Kenyatta was not duly elected… They ordered IEBC to open servers but they refused because they knew all the secrets were there.”

President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto took Oath of Office administered by Chief Registrar of Judiciary, Anne Amadi and in presence of Chief Justice David Maraga at a ceremony held at Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday.
