Peter Kenneth On His Future in Politics

John Wanjohi Dec 06, 2017

Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth says that his future in politics is still bright despite suffering a setback in bid to capture the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Kenneth, who unsuccessfully contested for the presidency and the Nairobi gubernatorial positions in the 2013 and 2017 general polls respectively, dismissed claims that the two loses threw him into political oblivion.

Kenneth further rubbished claims that his bid for Nairobi Governor seat in the August 8th election was a plan to position himself to inherit president Kenyatta as Mt Kenya political kingpin when he hangs the boots in 2022.

''Those who were looking at my candidature for Nairobi in the last poll as a preparation to take over as the Mt Kenya Kingpin are very wrong,I was just eyeing the moment. However,my loss does not mean that I am now out as 2022 is still very far and anything can happen along the way,'' he said, adding that he was ready to work with anyone to make Kenya a better country.
