Kenyan Scholar in the US Urges Ruto to Resolve Differences with the Judiciary

According to Dr. Kiiru Chomba, a Kenyan scholar based in the US, the ongoing conflict between the Judiciary and the Executive will erode the trust that Kenyans have in the independent institutions established by the Constitution.

Chomba emphasizes the importance of leaders respecting the Constitution and following proper procedures to address issues. To regain the trust of Kenyans and both local and foreign investors, Chomba stresses the need for the three branches of government to work together peacefully and harmoniously. He expresses concern about the government's repeated attacks on the Judiciary, which he believes puts the country's democracy at risk.

Chomba directs his plea to President William Ruto, urging him to set a precedent by avoiding public disputes with Judiciary members and opting for constitutional means to resolve differences. Ruto has accused some judicial officials of conspiring with powerful factions to obstruct government-funded projects. Chomba also advises Ruto to refrain from making public statements that undermine the dignity of his position as the nation's leader.

Chomba maintains that it posed a great risk for the President to openly share his views regarding the ceremonial weapon bestowed upon him at his inauguration. Emphasizing the importance of safeguarding our nation and its democratic principles, Chomba implores religious figures to intervene and offer guidance to the President concerning pressing matters affecting the nation's trajectory. Additionally, Chomba urges the authorities to cease unjustly singling out young individuals from Central Kenya and erroneously labelling them as members of the prohibited Mungiki organization.

He emphasizes that it is unjust to exploit or mistreat these young individuals for political advantage. Chomba also points out that these same young individuals from the Mount Kenya region showed their support for President Ruto in the recent general election and should not be subjected to bias or discrimination by certain individuals within the Kenya Kwanza government. As a person who actively fought for democracy, Chomba urges the government to guarantee that all Kenyans can fully experience the rights bestowed and protected by the Constitution.

No one has a solution to massive bribery in judiciary. DCI EACC not equipped or don't care for this. Judiciary can check and overturn on everyone else except the judiciary. One time Sonko helped with vid evidence that worked and helped remove a judge.

Ruto is talking about himself whenever he talks about corruption, bribery, theft and all manner of ills affecting the country.

There is none else who is as corrupt and Ruto himself. Ruto is blaming the judiciary for being corrupt to shield his corrupt nature.

He is not credible when he talks about corruption in the judiciary. The current crop of leaders we have in Kenya are all cursed because they are not worthy to be in those positions! Kenyans must rise up and take control of their country before Ruto steals everything in our coffers!

@kiiru, everything you have stated here have been said many times before by those demonstrating on the ground, eg Kioni, Maina Njenga, Raila, etc! Reasoning with Ruto is like beating hot water in a mortar with a huge njuguma!

Ruto’s intentions is to finish the kikuyu community as he has said several times to a point he ended up burning kikuyu women and children in the infamous Kiambaa church in Eldoret! He has recently started taking the land belonging to Kikuyus as you keep talking without a plan to stop Ruto.

FYI, the Kikuyus are now fighting back, like the Mau Mau fought the colonial masters! The Kikuyus must declare a holy war against Ruto bigoted it’s too late.
The Kikuyus are waking up to realize that Ruto have an evil plan against them.

So, the best way you can challenge Ruto is you head on back to Kenya and join those who are fighting Ruto back there! Speaking from a far distance is merely counter productive and useless!

Do not be a Johny come lately so you can later claim whatever you said brought the necessary changes. Funga virago uende ukapiganie wakenya humo nchini Kenya. Asante ndugu!!

Ruto operates like a thug on the streets of Sugoi. He is the same crook who used to steal chicken at the age of 10. He has not changed with time, and he will not change. @Chomba, you got to realize that Ruto is not well educated to understand the things you are advising him to do. His wars starts on the streets and seems to end on the streets! He claims that others are corrupt while he is the most corrupt creature crawling the face of the earth. Yes, he claims he has a PhD (which makes him sound well rounded), but that degree was earned through corrupt means. Very reliable Rumors has it that Ruto could not even defend his thesis because someone else wrote all his papers for him and Ruto could not explain the science of majani (Batony) he was getting the degree about. The only way to deal with a violent and crooked man like Ruto is simply acts of violence to wake his simple mind up. Ruto gets it whenever Kenyans end up in the streets to demonstrate over his bad leadership! No one should ever take Ruto seriously because his mental acumen is not designed to understand complex issues. Ruto’s latest fight with the judiciary is designed to make Kenya a lawless society and created anarchy where Ruto can do whatever he wants without the rule of law or checks and balances. Ruto thrives better in chaotic situations! Your points are well taken by the civilized Kenyans but Ruto does not understand what you are saying because he is a very stubborn man who does not know understand stubborn facts!
