Lordship Africa, a prominent international real estate development company will be showcasing its latest development, the 88 Nairobi in the diaspora during the Rugby Sevens events in Las Vegas, Nevada and Vancouver, Canada.
Sitting on the corner of Bishop’s Road and 4th Ngong Avenue, Upperhill, the 44-Storey landmark development is set to be the tallest private residential building in Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to the developer, the 88 Nairobi will feature high-end, dedicated residential condominiums designed to five-star hotel standards. The residential apartments include studio, 1 & 2 bedroom units and luxury penthouses from the 40th Floor, which will have three to four bedrooms. The residential apartments begin from the 8 floor, with the lower floors containing a gym, parking area, shops and a restaurant.
This inspirational tower consists of ultra-modern serviced apartments, with different options. Studio, 1 and 2 bedroom fully furnished executive apartments; 2 bedroom executive-plus apartments; duplex junior penthouses and 3 to 4 bedroomed penthouses at the top. Working with international Architects and Interior Designers, the layout of every apartment is superbly conceived, down to the smallest of details.
Living rooms and bedrooms with generous covered terraces and balconies, protected by transparent safety glass balustrades. Buyers get to choose their preferred vista - towards State House and the Arboretum, the open fields of the Nairobi Club, or the morning sky over the CBD.
Designed to five-star hotel standards and aligned with World Bank and European Union safety requirements, the tower will have 12000 square feet of rental space and an additional 16,000 square feet of lush gardens space.
The costing has been done keeping in mind the capacity and profile of the clients, so with a starting price of Sh 8.5 million for the studio units, renting the same space will set a tenant back by about Sh370,000.
The builders say that they have done a comparison on how much the similar units cost on other properties. For instance, at Gem Suites, Riverside go for Sh400,000 per month while Serene Valley and Yaya Towers cost Sh390,000 and Sh410,000 respectively. Therefore, they felt that the price is quite competitive.
Construction began in 2018 and will take up to two and a half years to complete. The apartments are targeting the community of people who work in Upper hill. The location is home to embassies, multi-national corporates, blue-chip financial companies, medical institutions, and the high-profile legal fraternity.
Diaspora clients have a chance to invest in a world class development that offers steady returns even while based abroad. 88 Nairobi will also offer a la carte selection of concierge services such as investor – landlord services where those buying-to-let can be professionally assisted with overall letting arrangements and property management.
