Four Bodyguards to Machakos Governor's Wife Perish in Grisly Road Accident

Four people have been confirmed dead after a grisly accident on Mombasa Road in Nairobi on Monday night. The four were bodyguards of Machakos county governor Alfred Mutua’s wife, Lillian Ng’ang’a.

They perished in an accident that occurred at Lukenya area, along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

Reports indicate that a driver of Toyata Land Cruiser headed to Nairobi overtook and crashed into the Nissan Tiida car that the four were traveling in, killing them on the spot.

The four and the driver are said to have dropped Mrs. Mutua in Nairobi and were headed back to Machakos, before meeting their death.

However, the drive escaped death but sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to Mater Hospital for treatment. Bodies of the deceased were taken to Shalom Hospital awaiting identification.
