Governor Joho Launches Fresh Onslaught on Jubilee Administration

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has launched a fresh onslaught on President Kenyatta's Jubilee administration.

In his latest criticism, Joho has accused the National Government of a plot to transfer huge debts to county governments in the coast region. The Governor said that Jubilee is heavily borrowing funds to build water projects at the Coast, which will further push public debts for involved counties to unmanageable levels.

“Jubilee has usurped the roles of counties. In the Coast, a flurry of water expansion projects are being financed by loans which counties will later be required to pay,” Joho said.

He further faulted the national government for keeping counties in dark on the projects, and demanded that details of the cost of constructions be made public.

“Jubilee believes counties have no capacity to tender and select a firm that can lay down water pipes. We hope these projects are not turned into cash cows for corrupt individuals,” he said.

The Ministry of Water is currently undertaking various water projects at the coast, including constructing of Baricho Water Project at an estimated cost of Sh15 billion and Mzima II at Sh35 billion. The Ministry says, when conplete, Mzima project will provide extra supply of 100,000 cubic metres of water daily to Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa Counties and financed by the Government of China (EXIM Bank).

Mr Joho, did you have similar projects?. To me it appears you are not doing the job, and therefore someone is doing it for you and yet you want to complain about that. Please do what you were elected to do and the president does not have to step in, he is not doing this to seek any votes, this is his final term in the office fyi, he is doing what needs to be done.

This will help you understand your job, (CAP 11) of CoK 2010 – Devolved Government specifically provides for the setting up of the County Governments .

Secession is the medicine to this cancer called Jubilee.

Nothing good will come from Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.

Not my President for sure.

For sure this guy does not deserve to be a Governor. He is unable to deliver any tangible development to his people and he yells when the national Government does it.If you can't do jark now, what makes you any better when you secede and with no resources? Only thing making you bark all the time is the business you have at the port. Quite fooling people and do your job...

Dikteta huyu yungali akiwatumia hata sasa!
