President Uhuru Fires Seven Cabinet Secretaries, Appoints Them as Foreign Envoys

Seven Cabinet Secretary who served in President Kenyatta’s first Cabinet have been fired. However, all is not lost for the seven as they have landed new government jobs to represent the country in different nations overseas as ambassadors.

Dan Kazungu, who was Cabinet Secretary for Mining has now been deployed as Kenyan ambassador to Tanzania; Jacob Kaimenyi, who was in charge of Ministry of Lands is now the Permanent Representative to UNESCO in Paris, France; immediate former Labor and East Africa Cooperation CS, Phylis Kandie is the new ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.

Judy Wakhungu, who was CS for Environment is the new envoy to France, while Sport's Hassan Wario will represent Kenya in Austria. Cleopha Mailu, who was CS for Health is the new Permanent Representative to United Nations in Geneva, with Willy Bett, who was Minister for Agriculture representing the country in India.

Fire and reshuffle don't mean the same thing! If you are reassigned somewhere else in government, then you have not been fired. Jeez, media and their attention gathering!
