Babu Owino Pleads with President Kenyatta to Rescue His Political Career

Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino has now pleaded with President Kenyatta to rescue his political career.

Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly when members debated Kenyatta-Raila unity agreement on Wednesday, the youthful Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP hailed the unity pact and urged the two leaders to help him retain his seat.

Babu's election was two weeks ago nullified by the High Court following a petition by his Jubilee rival Francis Mureithi. He has, however, appealed the decision at the Appellate Court.

Babu said: "For Babu Owino's cases to be dropped, then President Uhuru Kenyatta and His Excellency Raila Odinga must dialogue."

"For the will of the Embakasi East residents to be recognised and respected then President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga must continue to dialogue," Babu declared in Parliament.

The first time MP further gave a biblical analogy to illustrate the turmoil he has faced due to constant arrests by the government.

"The Bible story of Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego tells us that these three gentlemen were put in a furnace to burn to death but they were put in the furnace because they did not obey the king then. These three boys came out of the furnace stronger."

"I want to tell the President, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta that he has put this boy Babu Owino in the furnace and he has become strong, I don't want to be stronger than this. Let him remove me from the fire," Babu urged.

After the insults, arrogance, cockiness and boldness now you realize Kenya has a President. All time lost in the jails could have been better invested with your constituents. Uhuru is forgiving; so, you will be forgiven. But just remember, the National Assembly is not a university.

So long as the President does not circumvent the law in your favor, that will be acceptable. But first your have to appolohize to him for insults you poured at him

What is this naive boy trying to say? President Kenyatta is not the law, he is not the judge, he does not interfere with judicial issues. Babu might be happy to know that the courts have, in recent times, been seen to deliver BIASED rulings towards Raila and his goons...he might be better off talking to the Railas and Orengos... not UK.

To UK, just apologize, if that is what you want, for abusing him and his Mother.. so shameful I don't even know how you'll face him.
