President Kenyatta Made an Incognito Visit to Kenyatta National Hospital, Shocked by State of Affairs

President Kenyatta has admitted that the state of affairs at the country's largest medical facility, Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) shocked him when he recently made an incognito visit to the institution.
Addressing a team of officials tasked with transforming Nairobi city at State House on Friday, the president said he was not pleased with the functioning of the some of the hospital's departments, especially the accident and emergency unit, which he said needs a lot of improvement.
“Most of the pressure requires more accident and emergency centres. You have to get these centres working,” the President said.
The team is made of officials drawn from both Nairobi county and national government and is co-chaired by Governor Mike Sonko and Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.
“More ambitiously, the team would oversee the launch of the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company, which is at the heart of delivering affordable housing. Affordable housing is in the President’s Big Four agenda of putting a roof over many more Kenyans heads, availing healthcare, ensuring no one goes hungry, and creating jobs through increased manufacturing."
" Nairobi, alone, is projected to provide 200,000 new affordable homes under this programme. Agreements with financial institutions on funding 100,000 units would be signed in 90 days,” read a statement from State House after the launch of the regeneration team.
Further, the Sonko-Balala led team will supervise the automation of Nairobi bus terminus and the launch of the bus rapid transit system among others.
“The team said the launch of car-free days in Nairobi and youth market days in 17 sub counties would be accomplished within three months,” the statement read in part.

Sasa, what is new here? Every president from Moi to Uhuru have visited hospitals incognito and they always found the same state of bad/sad affairs. What changed after Moi did these visits? Nothing. He just came from Israel for treatment ...yah? This is all politics meanwhile people these days steal billions from the taxpayers kit! Is anybody surprised that the president saw what he saw?

...cont... The only way to fix these problems is to pass a law that , all Kenyans Big or small should be treated in one of the many Kenyan Hospitals we have. No going to India, UK, US and South Africa. This way, they will see the problems that ordinary Kenyans go through

Too little to late Mr. President, Kenya’s health ministry has been at the center of a massive corruption scandal that got worse in late 2016 that allegedly saw $5 billion earmarked for free maternity care stolen or squandered among others. What did you do at the time US presented you with investigation facts as they withdrew US aid? Absolutely no action, yet you were told the culprits. Your DP is the greatest thief of all and you remain to stand by him. Mungu halali.
