Clergy Calls for Creation of Prime Minister Post in Kenya

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) has called the creation of Prime Minister, two Deputy Prime Ministers and official leader of opposition positions.
Addressing a press briefing on Tuesday in Nairobi, NCCK Secretary General Reverend Canon Peter Karanja urged the National Assembly and the Senate make necessary amendments to the constitution to create these positions.
NCCK argues that the creation of these seats will ensure inclusivity in government, adding that it would end the current division in the country.
They said that the current political system has made it appear that power is shared among few individuals, while leaving out others.
“NCCK recommends that Parliament should amend the constitution to include the position of a Prime Minister and two Deputy Prime Ministers and the restoration of the official leader of the opposition post,” Reverend Karanja said.
NCCK however pointed out that their proposal should not be misunderstood to mean they were pushing for the formation of a coalition government.
“Our recommendations have nothing to do with leaning towards the opposition. This is a mechanism for Kenya to deal with its issues,” he said.
The clerics further urged President Uhuru Kenyatta, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga and other political actors to hold national dialogue to end the impasse surrounding the presidential election.
“We support the call for dialogue by all actors. We urge that the dialogue be expanded to include all Kenyans,” they said.

This are not men of God. They are corrupt politicians hiding behind the pulpits. They should know the reason there is a parliament is to discuss such thing.

First of all, who are you to judge if they are men of God or not? 2. Every citizen in kenya including you have a right to express their opinion. 3. Parliament alone does not dictate what should be included in the constitution. So if you do not have any suggestion on how to improve our country, leave others to give their suggestions however silly it may look.

This demon pastor Canon Peter Karanja was a pastor at ACK Church in Naivasha. Ask him what kind scandals he left behind. The man is allegedly a womanizer(Slept with a lot of married women) and a thief. He left the Church almost broke due to high level theft. The man is a criminal and a conman. I wonder how much Raila paid him. He is an agent of darkness.

This church leader should get his proposal running as a good example in his churches first. A full reverend, assistant reverend, prime reverend and two deputies in one church. Let's see how that works.

Who died and made these hypocrites with white collar like KKK wizards the lords of Kenya to usurp the roles of the Executive, Parliament and Judiciary? These clowns should openly follow their fake Joshua to his Stone Age Canaan instead of making silly shameless utterances purporting to speak for the Kenyan people. Kenyan people elected their leaders on August 8 and DON'T NEED a bunch of hypocrites wannabe self-appointed misleaders speaking for them. None of them were elected bishops or pastors leave alone political leaders --- they are all money hungry con artists who blasphemously appointed themselves pastors, bishops or whatever other bogus title they choose. Go count your evil stolen money and leave leadership of the Kenyan people to elected leaders -- not shameless pretenders!!!!

Kwani NASA ama baba has said anataka kuwa prime minister? He has been there before and he is not interested in going back. Why do you not want to hold free and fair elections. All this extra positions will never be a substitute for democracy.Neither of the 2 dominant political parties is interested in sharing power so why force issues as the "church".Furthermore there are 42 legit tribes in Kenya one position will not satisfy the 40 tribes who feel left out in the current regime.
