11 Foreign Envoys Mount Pressure on Raila to Recognize Uhuru as President

Foreign envoys from 11 countries have mounted pressure on National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga to first recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as the legitimately elected President as the starting point for dialogue to end political impasse in the country.

In a joint statement, the 11 termed as unconstitutional the January 30th swearing in of Odinga as people's president, even as they criticized some actions taken by the Jubilee administration following the oath.

“A father of multi-party democracy has made unsubstantiated claims about elections and unilaterally sworn himself as “President”, in deliberate disregard of the Constitution for which he so proudly fought,” read part of the statement.

“The Opposition must accept the decision of the Supreme Court to uphold the election of October 26. Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are the legitimate President and Deputy President of Kenya. The Opposition needs to accept this as the basis for the dialogue that it and many Kenyans want. Stoking and threatening violence are not acceptable, nor are extra-Constitutional measures to seize power.”

They added: “The Government, which should be the guarantor of liberty and freedom of expression for all under the law, shut down television stations, seized the passports of Opposition leaders, refused to obey court orders, and deported a prominent Opposition lawyer. These events follow two elections that left many Kenyans dead and many more livelihoods disrupted. For friends of Kenya, alarm bells are ringing.”

Led by American Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec and United Kingdom's Nic Hailey, the diplomatic heads reiterated their earlier push for dialogue as a means of putting the country back to the right track.

“As partners, we will do all we can to help; but only Kenyans can resolve the country’s problems. We again call for an immediate, sustained, open, and transparent National Conversation involving all Kenyans, to build national cohesion, address long-standing issues, and resolve the deep-seated divisions that the electoral process has exacerbated,” they said.

Ambassador Jutta Frasch (Germany), Alison Chartres (Australia), Sara Hradecky of Canada, Mette Knudsen (Denmark), Anna Jardfelt (Sweden), Victor Conrad Rønneberg (Norway), Frans Makken (Netherlands), Tarja Fernández (Finland) and Kim Ramoneda (France) are other envoys included in the statement.

Raila forgot that when you attack one you attack all. Where will he go now? Can try Museveni and Magufuli. The other fool deported to Canada has started attacking the same country that has given him and his family a place to live. Wisdom is grossly lacking in this bunch of idiots. Big mouths no action.

So, what exactly are you advocating? Whatever the Government has done so far, including “...... shut down television stations, seized the passports of Opposition leaders, refused to obey court orders, and deported a prominent Opposition lawyer......." THE GOVERNMENT DID TO PROTECT THE MAJORITY, MILLIONS, OF KENYANS...TO GUARANTEE LIBERTY AND FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION FOR THE VOICELESS MAJORITY...THOSE THAT DON'T PARTICIPATE IN THE NASA RIOTS....THOSE WHOSE PROPERTY NASA RIOTS DAMAGE...THOSE THAT DO NOT CAUSE HAVOC IN THE CITY INFRONT OF CAMERAS FOR YOU 'ENVOYS' TO SEE, THOSE WHO CANNOT GO ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS BECAUSE RAILA LOST, ALL THOSE WHO HAVE THEIR LIVELIHOOD DISRUPTED, yes, because of Raila. There are another 40m+ Kenyans.....are you forgetting?

STOP telling us about dialogue, how can anyone dialogue with a mad man, one who does not even know whether they recognize the President or not. Godec go tell Trump to dialogue with Hillary, go open a dialogue with the Blacks and whites of America......STOP with the HYPOCRISY all of you!

I agree, Nasariots are OPPRESSED by this baseless odinga-mania that the luo-child is indoctrinated to from birth....yes, they think they have a voice when they throw stones and kill and disrupt business, BUT IS THAT A VOICE? All they've known is saying YES SIR to whatever odinga's say, even if they are told to hate and kill. Total BRAIN-WASH!

How do you recognize a "THIEF?" What Uhuru has done is an impeachable offence. I am not advocating that Raila be the next president of Kenya! Absolutely NOT!

IEBC needs a "Maraga." That way, people's skeletons can be exposed to the voters before they are cleared to run for an elective public office.

How was Ndugu Miguna cleared to run for the position of the governor last year? How did he get his Kenyan ID?

Uhuru, you have done a lot of damage to our (not your) country that you need to vacate our state house. Why? Under your leadership, you have won a Nobel prize for corruption, the people killed in Naivasha, Nakuru, and Limuru (the ICC case), the hundreds of people killed during the election under your watch, your inability to defeat Al Shabaab, the many innocent people of Kenya that have been killed
because of nominating extremely incompetent people in key positions such as Dr. Joseph Ole Lenku, Dr. Mating, Dr. Ndegwa Muhoro and many more others.

I will end up by asking Toroitich this basic question: Why did you push an incompetent person (Uhuru) to be the president of Kenya? I understand that you are grooming your son to take over in 2022. Please forget it: It will not happen in our country.

Raila was tasked by African Union to be the mediator in Ivory Cost when Gbagbo refused to accept Outtawa's win. He (Raila) failed and Gbagbo is cooling his heels in jail. Rao will, despite his age and brain (head) ailment, be picked by ICC.
Rao is nobody but a Luo leader who like dancing on graves... DANCE MACABRE. I opine the gvnmt of the day to ignore him for smtime and appeal to AU to intervene. Otherwise, he wil mess Kenya the way he've messed his family.

We need a national leader come 2022. The Luo's, Kalenjin. and Gikuyu brothers and sisters are trapped in their own ethnic origins.

Come 2022, we do have a national leader, who will redeem us from our current myopic ethnic enclaves. The current governor of Machakos, Ndugu Mutua will be our Kenyan savior like Julius Borito Kambarage Nyerere the first president of Tanzania.

Nyerere was able to unite a nation composed of over 120 distinct micro-nations. Under the Gikuyu/Kalenjin leadership, Kenya seems as if it is composed of 42 distinct countries.

Ndugu Mutua has the wisdom and experience of uniting the people of Kenya as one nation. 58 years of Kalenjin/Gikuyu evil and corrupt leadership must come to an end come 2022.
