Governor Hassan Joho Visits Ailing Tycoon Chris Kirubi at His Coast Residence

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has become the latest leader to visit ailing billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi.

The Governor paid Kirubi a visit at his coast residence in Kilifi County on Saturday. Taking to Twitter, the business mogul who has been recuperating from a yet to be disclosed ailment, said he discussed matters of national interest with the Governor.

"I had the pleasure of receiving a visit from Governor of Msa county @HassanAliJoho at my home in Kilifi County."

"He came to wish me well as I continue to recuperate. We discussed matters of national interest, in particular, nation building, investment & fostering cooperation," Kirubi added.

The visit comes days after Opposition leader Raila Odinga also visited Kirubi at his home in Nairobi on Tuesday. "This morning I visited Chris Kirubi who has recently returned from overseas where he had gone for medical treatment. It was great to see him in high spirits and we wish him all the best as he continues with his recovery," Raila said in a social media post.

The industrialist returned to the country in March from the United States where he had flown for specialized medical treatment in November last year.

Are our leaders that idle? All the news is about visiting so and so; politicking. No news about achievements. No serious issues to be resolved. No actions. Just talks, visitations, attending funerals (politicking) about 2022. What happens between now and 2022? God help Kenya!!!

If he hadn't spent all those billions building a mall maybe they would have found a cure of whatever is killing him had he invested his money on medical research.

At times like this, the comfort offered by family trumps any offered by insincere politicians speaking with forked tongues. Where is your family, brother Kirubi? Sons,daughters,brother,sister,cousin,in- laws....? Why are you always alone? But still I wish you well, and the Good Lord shall perform His miracles.
