Two Kenyan Women Arrested for Drugging and Robbing Man in a Bar

Two women accused of spiking a man’s drink before robbing him of an unknown amount of money have been arrested.

The suspects are alleged to have drugged the 32-year-old man at a bar in Mwea, Kirinyaga County on Saturday evening and later hired a boda-boda rider to ferry the victim to local lodging, where they robbed him.

“They even took his ATM and visited two banks before they were arrested,” said Mwea-East police commander Daniel Kitavi.

Police were later called to the scene by a good Samaritan and took the victim to a local hospital where he was treated and has since recorded a statement. The victim requested that his identity be concealed for security reasons.

It is alleged that the two suspects have been targeting male revelers in Ngurubani, Kerugoya, Kagio, Sagana, among other towns. They will be arraigned at Wang’uru Law Courts on Monday.

“We discovered several items that will help us prosecute the two suspects who are being held here at Wang’uru police station,” Kitavi said.

Not again!! Barely aweek has passed since some women drugged and robbered the unconcious man of his valuables. At the time I had expressed my concern at the ever increasing crimes perpetrated by our sisters.
What the heck is going on?
This drugging act has become a frequent"weapon of choice"used by women carousing in bars, and social gathering places preying on unsuspecting men.
If this trend continues, men will start drinking in their homes thus reducing the revenue garnered from such establishments. So you bar,and restaurant owners, better come up with some security measure, otherwise your profits will dwindle lower than they are now due to covid 19 restrictions.
And for you men,and women I suppose, there is safety in numbers.Have party friends of whom one is a teetotaler... Needless to say that, its dangerous to party with astranger, man,or woman.Take time to know them. This knowledge has great benefits-and,or deterrents. My two cents.

Maxiley,
Dogs will always be dogs.
I don't condone this behavior, but you're right we need to be careful.
First golden rule, never ever leave your drink unattended. If you do, pour it out and ask for another one.
Never use a glass, it hard to spike it when you're watching.
Thirdly, please don't entertain two women you just found in the club.
Lastly, men stop showing off. Act broke as hell or just have a pair of your buddies with you.

Well said @ Kora kanini, these scams could easily be avoided if men played their part as you so eloquently have put out. These women are out to scam, not to entertain you.
But why is this drink spiking on the increase,or appears to be?I believe that alot of men who are scammed in this manner are too ashamed to make it public, and rightly so to an extend. Can you imagine a husband whose wife has gone ushago to visit family, and the fellow decides to enjoy the freedom and the falls victim to this women...how could he explain to his wife, and family? Most would count their losses, and consider it a hard lesson in the school of hardknocks.

Why is he hanging out with the most ugliest scam-bugs of the entire society! He deserved to be robbed if he could see the kind of women with whom he was partying !
