John Githongo Alleges a 56-Man Team Altered Presidential Results in Favor of Ruto
Former journalist and anti-corruption crusader John Mark Githongo has filed an affidavit at the Supreme Court challenging the results of the August 9th presidential election.
Githongo, who is CEO of Inuka Kenya ni Sisi organization, claims that the results of the election were tainted by fraudulent activities in favor of President-elect William Ruto, adding that he has evidence from a whistleblower that the results were fraudulently exaggerated, suppressed, and substituted.
He submits that on August 18th, he was introduced to a young man in Nairobi who said he had "a matter of national importance he wished to discuss." The man who was "visibly tense and terrified" revealed the truth about how the 9th respondent (Ruto) won the election.
"He revealed to me utterly shocking details of how he together with others, were involved in a large scale, well-orchestrated fraudulent scheme that enabled them to interfere with and compromise with the IEBC electoral data transmission system," read part of the petition.
Githongo says the man admitted he was part of a team of 56 people known as "The Team" whose work was to alter Form 34As before sending them to the IEBC portal.
The whistleblower and nine others allegedly served as supervisors, while the remaining 46 were given access to the manipulating entries. Their work was to obtain Forms 34A from KIEMS kits, editing them, and uploading them to the IEBC portal.
Other supervisors included Dennis Itumbi, Morris Mutegi, Davis Chirchir, Jackson Kandi, Baby Serge, and Kibyegon, according to court documents.
Githongo alleges that the team had access to IEBC's back-end servers which were working in tandem with Smartmatic, the UK-based company awarded the tender to provide technology for the election.
Githongo claims to have a video of the testimony but will not reveal it until he appears in court. He also stated that will conceal the man’s face and distort his voice for the sake of his safety.

You are right Maxiley. Of all the people in Kenya why would it be Githongo to receive an election complain? And when he received it, what did he do with the it? Why not report this alleged poll malpractice to authorities even before he moved to Supreme Court?
For this year’s election, the servers were within the numbers in the constituency tally and not in the IEBC servers.

Dennis Itumbi is extremely corrupt and if this allegations are true then there needs to be new elections a recount will not help.Kenyans cannot afford a thief at the helm no matter how expensive a rerun.Ruto does not have an honest bone in his body and he surrounds himself with questionnable characters.He was bragging how nobody would steal his votes because he knew what was up.It is beginning to make sense because all the surveys were showing a different outcome and people do not just wake up and change their minds
Maybe we need to go back to the drawing board if technology has been corrupted aka manipulated.Manual voting and counting please there is enough unemployed youth to do the manual counting of the votes and Kenyans can wait.

Interesting how Githongo can make everything look like a highly planned cyber attack. What Githongo will not tell you that everyone with internet connection had access to all the Form 34As, to download, and use. Azimio, UDA, every media outlet, etc had their tallying team. They were all very busy adding numbers. Very much in order to file a petition, but to be successful, go to Supreme Court with facts and not imaginations.
