MP Threatens Lawsuit Over Alleged LGBTQ Ties in His Office

Kaloleni Member of Parliament Paul Katana has threatened legal action against three individuals who he claims have falsely linked his office to the LGBTQ community.

The MP has tabled his complaints to the Kilifi Directorate of Criminal Investigations, claiming that Steven Garama, Kitsao Ngowa, and Maxwell Konde have tarnished his reputation. Kilifi County Criminal Investigation Officer David Siele has verified that they are looking into the MP's allegation. The three mentioned individuals have already provided their statements to the DCI, asserting their privilege to inquire and express criticism towards the MP.

“Last week, the respondents recorded a statement. We are still investigating the matter but the MP is at liberty to take other legal action against them,” said Siele.

The trio are demanding that Katana address the rumours circulating in the constituency. The lawmaker laments that the allegations are putting his employees at risk. Additionally, the MP wants to disassociate himself from the LGBTQ community claims and clarifies that the rumours about his office being transformed into a brothel by the gay community are false.

After presenting a statement to the DCI in Kilifi town, Mr Garama now says that they had urged the MP to respond to the claims of homosexual behaviour occurring in his office. However, the MP chose to report them to the DCI instead. Mr. Katana, who is currently in his second term as an elected official, has denied the allegations, perceiving them as a deliberate effort to damage his reputation.

‘’We asked him to come forward and discuss the issue because it’s an act that is affecting the whole society but instead, he reported us to the DCI,” said Garama.

See....if the Kenyan Constitution mirrors that of Americans, The 14th Amendment would have freed the LGBTQ from Tyrants like Katana
