Ruto Accuses Ford Foundation of Financing Anti-Government Protests

President William Ruto has levelled serious accusations against the Ford Foundation claiming it has been financing recent anti-government protests in Kenya.

Speaking at Keringet Market in Nakuru County, Ruto emphasized the critical importance of maintaining peace in the nation. He asserts that certain parties have reaped significant benefits from the demonstrations and alleges that these entities have been funnelling funds to unspecified groups within Kenya to orchestrate protests aimed at destabilizing the country. Ruto characterizes these actions as "anarchy" and openly condemns those responsible, saying, "Shame on them!"

He further accuses the American non-governmental organization Ford Foundation of harbouring malicious intentions and operating contrary to Kenya's best interests and democratic principles. The President challenges the organization to elucidate their motivations for disrupting Kenya's democratic processes. Ruto had expressed similar sentiments earlier today by issuing a warning to those accepting money to fund protests. The Head of State vowed to put an end to their activities.

Ruto further reiterated Kenya's commitment to peace and appealed to young citizens, urging them not to become pawns in the schemes of powerful groups. Ruto implored the youth to resist being manipulated into turning Kenya into a land of conflict, destruction, and chaos. The President's remarks follow statements made by Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura on June 7. Mwaura had alleged that international entities were funding the protests and suggested that some foreign powers were displeased with Ruto's efforts to reduce Kenya's reliance on the US Dollar for international trade, leading to their interference in Kenyan politics.

On July 3, the government announced that police were investigating several individuals and organizations suspected of financing the protests. These included politicians from the Rift Valley, Nairobi, and Central Kenya regions, as well as a businessman from the Rift Valley and two NGOs - one local and one international.

Dr. Ruto if wananchi have the right to protest, why should it matter if they are funded or not?The protesters employed the wisdom of -The mind is mightier than the fist.Even in the face of live bullets they remained resolute, and unwavering.Such stands can only be made by patriotic citizens.May I also remind you that -Wisdom goes not always by years-Viva Gen Z.
I also reject the label" Anti-government protests". Let's call these protests what they are -PROTESTS AGAINST FAILED PROMISES AND POOR GOVERNANCE.
Your accusations seem to make light of the grievances, and demands that brought about these protests.Do you think ostentatious display of lavish life style in the midst of poverty is wise?Do you think it is wise to drop high profile cases of corrupt individuals? Do you think it is wise for your Mpigs to be earning more than their counterparts in richer countries than Kenya? Do you think it is wise to have so many youths unemployed- for lack of opportunities?
There is no way protests would have occurred if you and your administration had delivered on your promises.Remember , It is the runner who leads the race that sets the pace for the rest of the pack.
Finally as you labor to fill your new cabinet be guided by the words of the wise that- there can be no true success in a world of MEDIOCRITY,INEFFICIENCY,CORRUPTION AND LACK OF INTEGRITY.
I hope our politicians have learned that it is better NOT to make promises than to make them and not DELIVER,especially when you are getting a king's ransom for what you do.My two cents of worth.

My suspected culprit was Russian intelligence agents, just like they have infiltrated American politics and many parts of the world, especially Africa!!! But I guess that I was wrong!!!

It’s so easy nowadays for bad actors to use technology to manipulate people and cause great harm at every corner of the globe as long as the monster called the global internet exists!!!

There is a price to pay when a weak leader like Ruto the lootall of a shithole country start messing with the big boys. Ruto can’t even call Russian to help him after he put his foot in his mouth and started insulting them Russians, and even America has literally had enough of this dummy. Who knows who is paying who to make Ruto exit early. Now Ruto is confused annd he is blaming everyone else except himself for anll his failures. China don’t want to deal with Ruto ans well because Russia has ansked them to dump Ruto. All those countries know Ruto is a thief and he cannot be trusted with anyone’s money because he will steal everything. Ruto attacking the Ford Foundation is like take war straight to the White House. Ruto is now desperately confused and the only help he can call are the ghost bursters!

I have weighed this demand "RUTO MUST GO",and I say yes. This is after a thorough evaluation of his performance.I thought with a D- in midterm, he might get a chance to improve. But with final results out this week an F score is not acceptable. He just has to drop out,or let go.

Why complain about joblessness yet 6.2m.hungry billionaire Kenyans created jobs for less than 4000(including 900 harlots) in 2010?Can the the surviving 5.8m.senseless YES voters explain why they hired those thugs to manage a reversing economy?Do hungry billionaires know that a nominated MCA’s salary can employ 2.5 doctors or ten nurses or twenty teachers?

If that’s true then its status as a 501 (c)(3) should be revoked! As we all know, Henry Ford was a white supremacist just like modern day Henry Ford, aka Mellon Tusk!!!

" MCA’s salary can employ 2.5 doctors or ten nurses or twenty teachers?" They know.
Elsewhere I made a comment that we never used to have MCAs,and the gov.functioned just fine, relatively speaking. This was just a scam concocted by greedy politicians to have the economic pie shared by their friends.
We have our priorities in disarray.Doctors/nurses,teachers,police force, firemen/women- relative to their value to society, they should be earning at least 2 times what they earn now.We could compensate this deficit by slashing the benefits of the over paid Mpigs, and other dead wood public servants. There is no reason for our nurses, teachers, and doctors to be striking every 6 months because of poor pay.
