Raila Undergoes Covid-19 Testing in Nairobi
ODM leader Raila Odinga has undergone voluntary Covid-19 testing in Nairobi.
Odinga took the test at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) Centre in Mbagathi, Nairobi on Sunday.
He said the move is aimed at encouraging more Kenyans to be tested for the disease to know their health status.
“I took the Covid 19 test at Kemri in Mbagathi earlier today. I took the opportunity to appeal to all Kenyans to go for testing. A COVID-19 certificate is becoming an important document as we continue battling the pandemic,” Odinga wrote on Twitter.
As of Sunday, Kenya had confirmed 3,594 cases of Covid-19, 103 deaths, and 1,253 recoveries.
Nairobi leads with 1,638 cases, translating to 44.7 percent of cases in the country followed by Mombasa 1,036 (30%) and Kajiado with 121, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
