President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent his condolence message to the family, relatives and friends of former Kasipul Kabondo Member of Parliament and Local Government Minister James Ezekiel Mbori who succumbed to death on Monday at a Kisumu hospital.
In his message, the head of state described the former minister as a great Kenyan leader whose love for the country enabled him to implement projects that are still benefiting citizens long after he resigned from active politics. Uhuru further lauded Mbori’s commitment as a legislator and a diligent Cabinet Minister adding that his legacy will remain after his death.
President Kenyatta observed that the Cabinet Minister was instrumental in setting up of structures that have become a reference point to most public institutions.
“As we mourn and pay homage to this visionary leader, let us also celebrate his life and achievements,” he said.
Mbori died at a Kisumu Hospital on Monday, though the family did not disclose the cause of his death.
The late James Mbori served as Kasipul Kabondo MP for three terms (1969-1974, 1983-1988 and 1988-1992).
