Raila Visits Moses Kuria, Johnstone Muthama at Pangani Police Station

National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has visited former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who are currently being held at Pangani Police Station in Nairobi.

Kuria and Muthama were arrested earlier in the day over alleged hate speech.

Addressing the media at the police station, the former Prime Minister claimed that the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, ordered the arrest of the two leaders after receiving instructions from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Uhuru Kenyatta has given instructions. But I would like Uhuru Kenyatta to play by the rules. You are a presidential candidate, I’m a presidential candidate, let us face the people. Do not intimidate my supporters to cripple my campaign,” Raila noted.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader also cautioned President Uhuru against intimidating and threatening members of the opposition ahead of the October 17th repeat election.

RAO, if you have same powers as Uhuru as you claim, then go and order Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet to release them. That will demonstrate how powerful you are.

Uhuru's legacy will not be kind to him. He is young in age but using the mind of a ninety year old man. Kenyan's can't you see? The Nyayo House days are back!

If he were in the USA, he would probably imprison more than half of the Americans. Of course the Americans would get rid of him from office immediately through impeachment.

He should talk to the former president Barack Obama and learn from him how to ignore peoples; speech unless one's life was threatened. He should also talk to the "genius" Mwai Kibaki who did not care what people said and focused on the economy.

Uhuru, cut your line of communication with the dictator Toroitich!

It is not fair to have Muthama in a police station. He did not threaten to kill anybody, but Kuria did. Muthama should be released immediately.
