Governor Pulls Out of Motorcade to Control Traffic Flow in Eldoret after Police Absence

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago on Saturday shocked residents and motorists after jumping out of his mortocade to take charge of traffic flow in Eldoret town for more than one hour, on realizing there were no traffic police officers to do the job.
Mandago was spotted controlling traffic flow along the Eldoret-Iten road, where a heavy snarl up was witnessed.
Eye witnesses said that the county boss opted to take charge and help ease traffic jam after his security officers tried in vain to sneak him out of the snarl up. Out of anger, the governor alighted from his car and personally began restoring flow by directing motorists.
The County Chief was at times captured engaging in arguments with matatu operators and other road users who openly broke traffic regulations worsening the traffic jams.
"When all of you don't want to obey traffic regulations it does not help anyone and we end up getting stuck unnecessarily," Mandago told the matatu operators at the Iten road-Highlands junction.
Mandago said it was unfortunate that no traffic officer was at the road at the time to help ease the flow.
Heavy traffic jams have been witnessed in the town due to narrow roads and Mandago has been on the forefront pushing the national government to quickly construct the Eldoret Southern by-bass road which will help to ease traffic jams in the town.
Last month, President Uhuru Kenyatta commissioned work on the road and Mandago said they were working with the Kenya National Highways Authority to ensure the sh 5.7 Billion by pass project is completed soon.

Common sense is not common to most Kenyan drivers. Most you would think have their brains up their butts. Thanks Madago for highlighting this idiocy by incompetent drivers.
Way to go Mandago...I hope…
