Former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura Sworn-in as KRA Chairman

Former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura has assumed office as Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Chairman following his appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Muthaura was sworn-in to office on Monday in a ceremony presided over by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Anne Amadi.
Other members of the Kenya Revenue Authority Board of Directors namely; Charles Makori Omanga, Leonard Ithau, and Susan Mudhune, also took oath of office during the event at the Supreme Court Buildings.
In his speech after being sworn-in, Muthaura acknowledged the big task ahead of the team and promised that the Board will live up to its expectations.
Muthaura, whose term will expire in October 2019, takes over from former Finance Principal Secretly Edward Sambili.
President Kenyatta appointed the 71-year-old in a special May 23rd gazette notice. Muthaura served as the Lamu Port South Sudan Ethiopia Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor Development Authority (LCDA) chairman before his appointment to KRA.
