ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi Declares His 2022 Presidential Bid

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has declared he will be on the ballot for 2022 presidential race.
Addressing faithfuls at the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) church in Kwale County, Mudavadi expressed confidence that he will be Kenya's 5th President.
The former Sabatia MP said he is now focused on strengthening ANC party in the grassroots ahead of the next polls.
"It's no longer a story. I will be there and you (should) just support me. The ideology that ANC is a party associated with Western should not be there. It is a capable national party and everyone of us should know what we expect in 2022," he said.
He urged the Luhya community to form alliances with other blocs and consolidate his votes for 2022 duel.
"Look beyond community. The biggest opportunity for us is to join with other communities and push our agenda," said Mudavadi, who was accompanied by Matuga MP Kassim Tandaza, ANC Secretary-General Barrack Muluka and other ANC MPs.
"Our road to 2022 is clear – it is Mr Mudavadi who has what it takes to lead this country and we must start now,” MP Tandaza said.
Coast leaders present included Kisauni MP Ali Mbogo, Lamu Woman Rep Ruweida Obbo, Kwale Senator Juma Boy, Lamu East MP Shariff Alwy and Kaloleni MP Paul Katana.
